I'm not really big on dogs, but Stella is a cutie for sure.

      Hey thanks Starcadia.

I never understood the relationships people have with there dogs until I got her.

I do understand not everyone has the same love for dogs though.

Unfortunately my wife can't contemplate the problem of having company over with two 50 pound dogs tying to greet everyone by bowling them over.

I just noticed that in that first picture I posted there are two cans of snus in the armoire behind Stella. G.r. and G.r. #2.

          SNUS and dogs. funny.

I have fallen behind in it, but I used to be about the same as with english....grew up speaking it. Yeah, i can see where if you were to just sit down and attempt to learn it, it would suck..

ha...we dont speak that many languages...nothing like the european folks.

              LOL

Women, I've found, have very strange relationships with dogs that border on complete delusion. I could go into detail regarding my own experience, and won't, but just like with human babies, no matter what the dogs they know do, it is somehow adorably excusable. Which is why I vowed many years ago, after many different experiences, to stay away from women with dogs. I'm sure this is an entirely personal thing, but you hint upon it with your above statement. I actually like dogs as animals, from a distance.

I'm sorry...I've been looking at this for like, three days now, and I can't let it go x.x I'm breaking up the man party because this is driving me nuts.

I can say the exact same thing about men and their strange attachment to their dogs' testicles. "OMG you can't neuter him! That's so mean! How would you like it if your balls were hacked off?!"

....if you have to live in a sexual vicarious manner through your dog, you've got serious issues (general you by the way :-p).

The dog doesn't miss his testicles anymore than you would miss an ugly wart on your face. He doesn't care either way. That's the great thing about dogs.

Having had both intact males (Strauss, Buddy, Ranger, and Justin) and neutered males, I prefer the intact boys. Better muscling, proper height, more substance in the dogs, proper temperaments as opposed to remaining a "puppyish" quality due to lack of testosterone.

On top of that, while the risk for testicular cancer is still real, my dogs have <1% chance of contracting such a disease. If I had neutered my boys at 6 months, they would have had five times the risk of hermangio or osteosarcoma (bone cancers). They also could have been left with open growth plates....bad thing in a working/sport dog.

So, in my care for my Shepherds, I don't think I'm delusional...I make sure they get what they need when they need it. They're my dogs, and my babies, but not my BABIES. I do not dress them up, I do not cart them around in bags (OMG, a GSD in a carry bag, lol), and, while I do baby talk to them, what person who loves their dogs doesn't?

We all understand the pack order. I am alpha bitch. Do not piss off the alpha bitch, lest she reign terror down upon your furry ass.

                Ok....return to the manliness.

Yeah....my post doesn't make your point, because the post was basically telling you you're wrong, not that I have a delusional relationship with my dogs :-p

The women that treat their dogs like children make me nauseous :-p I don't care if it's a Chihuahua. It has four legs, it can fricken walk. The only excuse it has to be picked up is if it's at a show where dogs can be unpredictable, or it's in danger of being lost in a snow drift (and don't laugh, I'm serious :-p).

7 pounds or 70, a dog is a dog, and should be treated like a dog.

Heck, most of the dogs I've met are better than we tend to be :-p

Oh dear, she's in her point making mood. =P Gents, you've stirred her up. That's my job. XD *awaits being smacked*
