I guess either John Wayne or Alaska is the answer.

Beer-making is alright, but the real fun lies in brewing cider.

Cider is stronger, tastier, and cheaper to make than beer. Plus, you simply cannot buy decent cider in any store.

Sorry man, i will have to respectfully disagree with you on the cider issue.

Only because I appreciate a great craft brew, but i do not much care for wine or anything made from fruit for that matter, including craft bres using fruit.

My father and two of his work buddies from the north brew great cider but its not a session drink.

To each his own but i may try it.

From the morebeer forums i hear its easier to brew than beer and you just need certain chemicals to kill off wild yeasts and bacterias.

I may try it one day, but its not something I enjoy as I do beer.

EDIT: Also there are several breweries that have brewed beer close to 20% ABV and even Sam Adams has a beer with a 27% ABV. Ive never seen cider even close to those numbers, only distilled spirits, which is illegal.
