Any other knife knuts out there?

So am I the Spyderco nut? I just have fat fingers so I find most thumbstuds inconvenient. I do however own two Benchmades (a 530 and a Dejavoo). The Dejavoo is almost a Spyderco though. The hole just works better for me. Also, personally the larger handle to blade ratio fits my fat hands as well. I'm not afraid to admit Benchmade does make a fine knife.

my bm will be here on the 6th. i have been carrying a kershaw leek while here in vegas. i carried a blackout before then, but i find a smaller blade to be more appropriate here in the city. i also carry a buck on my hip from time to time when i'm in alabama. i have more knives than i care to list here, most of them inexpensive or just average blades. i do have a few case knives but i rarely carry a folder in my pocket.

Military, police, and any other government or service person can carry an auto-opener wherever they please.
Back to your regularly scheduled program...
I am also a Benchmade nut. I never own multiples, but I always replace benchmade with benchmade.
Right now I am carrying:
And yes Faust, I carry it EVERYWHERE :lol:

Remember, I have access to all statutes within the Empire:
15 USCS § 1244
§ 1244. Exceptions
Sections 2 and 3 of this Act [15 USCS §§ 1242 and 1243] shall not apply to--
(1) any common carrier or contract carrier, with respect to any switchblade knife shipped, transported, or delivered for shipment in interstate commerce in the ordinary course of business;
(2) the manufacture, sale, transportation, distribution, possession, or introduction into interstate commerce, of switchblade knives pursuant to contract with the Armed Forces;
(3) the Armed Forces or any member or employee thereof acting in the performance of his duty; or
(4) the possession, and transportation upon his person, of any switchblade knife with a blade three inches or less in length by any individual who has only one arm.
In short, cops do not get to to wield switchblades. Soldiers do, but only when they're on duty. Carrying a switchblade off-duty is a felony. Amputees also apparently get to wield short switchblades, which is both anachronistic and stupid. But hey, I don't make the law - I simply practice it.

If that is the case, why can I (yes ME) walk into any Wal Mart and purchase an auto-opener here?
You can live in your law books all you want, but real life doesn't resemble your copy & pasted pages.
I utilize my blade in public (in front of law enforcement) and They don't go toting me off to jail.
Just because you live in yuppie central that throws the book at people who spit on the sidewalk... That doesn't mean the rest of the US does. I bet your little book says otherwise huh?
Do come back with something a bit more witty than just another copy & paste.

On the other hand, even this distinction is preempted by Oklahoma's criminal law. Didn't you notice the following language in the statute?
"spring-type knife"

Hence, you can buy it in Wal-Mart.
Also, your anecdotal observations are ridiculous. Cops do not HAVE to arrest you when they see you with a switchblade - it is a matter of discretion.
The way these things work, the minor crimes are only added on when you commit a bigger crime. For example, say you drive drunk... The cops pull you over, discover a switchblade, and add that to the bigger DUI charge. This way, it keeps you in jail loner and makes the cops look better. I doubt they would really care that you're peeling an apple with a switchblade (or what have you)...
