Very respectable numbers melly. As far as boosting goes, you are already running Nitrous... This leads me to believe that you are probably only running a stage one or two cam. That would go great with a supercharger. Something with a low-boost pulley (4-6lbs) then drop that 75 shot down to a 25-30. The nitrous injection will cool the blown air and you will see far superior gains than that of the nitrous alone.

When I get my genesis, I am planning on getting the 2.0T w/ the brembo package.

I like the power from the V6, but I love playing with turbo 4's

+1 on the nice numbers Melly.

And Xobe, definitely go with the 2.0t. There will be much more power potential with that engine, and as you said, turbo 4's are so much fun!

Damn I want a bigger turbo so bad! The only way I can get anymore power out of my car with my current turbo is to run e-85, but I need bigger injectors and a Walbro 255 to do that. I need both those to run a bigger turbo too, so there's no point in doing one without the other.

Right now I'm using a Cobb Accessport with a pre-loaded map that meets my mods, so I at least want to get a protune on the Dyno.

As much as I would love to see over 300 hp, it's pretty much pointless with this car. I won't be able to put the power to the ground. Case in point, local guy was the test car for the Rev Auto Supercharger, he made 310 to the wheels but it was pretty much undrivable. Too much wheel spin. I have a buddy that is building 450 on the same type of car.

As mentioned, I want to move away from the FWD platforms. I refuse to dump more money into this car let alone, $4k for a SC or turbo.

Oh, and I should be running 250whp/300wtq with the 75shot but I am having timing issues right now.

Tell me what you guys think of this idea...

Find a Subaru STi with a dead engine. Body and drivetrain still fine. Everything but the engine is good to go. Buy it cheap because of said engine. Get a new engine and swap it out. Profit?

I think you might be hard pressed to find an STi in perfect condition sans the motor that hasn't already been scooped up. If you could pull that off, rock on!

With parts and labor a swap is gonna run you at least 4k. Also, you wanna have an extremely reputable subie shop to do the work that specializes in swaps. Suba Performance in Denver is the place to go for swaps, and they do an ej257 swap for 2700 parts and labor included, but that's just the regular WRX 2.5, not the STI 2.5

I'd be hesitant buying any used STI honestly. Those cars are notorious for being abused, and heavily modded, and you wanna know the history on one before you buy it.

In December, with rebates, a new STI could be had for 28k. If I had a job at the time I would have an STI right now.

That was just a thought after a suggestion from someone. I'd imagine finding an STi in good condition except for the engine would be difficult at best. Let's face it, if you blew the engine, you must have done something else wrong too.

I wish I could get a car. I'm at The Citadel for college, so I can't get a job and my family's got enough issues financially to buy a new one. Just gonna have to suck it up and wait until after I graduate and am in the Marines.

That sucks, but good things come to those who wait. Sounds cheesy but it's true. Then you can buy the car you really want and be happy with it.
