Just because I get a reply doesn't mean I have to accept/accredit/even care about what is said. I just wanted to point out my thoughts on what I found to be a poorly thought out, uneducated statement...
Plus today at work has made me mildly bitter lol. I usually wouldn't have even replied.

Originally posted by existoneFaust, your "educated" comments on where we would be without government intervention have led me to believe you do not TRULY think out what you are saying before you spout it out. To say we would be nowhere without government intervention is officially the equivalent of saying "society should have never occurred". How in the sam hell do you believe that we are where we are today? Do you believe its because someone decided "the masses are idiots and cannot provide/think/clean/observe/decide for themselves"? Where exactly do you think societies roots are? Were we hatched out of an egg as a civilization of sprawling metropolises? If people couldn't take care of themselves without government intervention, society as we know it would not exist...
A "society" is a bit more than an unruly mob of apes. Societies require order and law, which in turn can only be provided by a strong, centralized government. You cannot have a human society without government. A rodent can clean and feed itself - this does not mean that there is a great rodent society out there.
You need to get your terms straight, my friend.

I am sure you can be a very engaging guy in various areas, so let’s try it. You’ve done a very good job proving your case and letting us know about your political views and believe it or not we all know you are a dedicated communist and also you know that we are not.
Let’s say that we respect you for who you are as a human and that we expect the same from you and neither side would take political views into consideration when it comes to respect.
Deal?
BTW, no more cheap vodka please. I think it gives you a headache and puts you in a bad mood when you start typing.

EDIT: Having read your post on tat makes me believe there is no hope for you and that you are a real troublemaker.

The best model is obviousely the one which has worked the best as far as we can tell, the early american model.
We have a society of hard working people from many different groups who want to live in freedom, they set up a democratic-republic and governments on the state and federal level, all binded by the constitution which limits the fed gov. to do only a certain amount of things. That system worked real good for a long time untill the government wanted to continue to grow itself, make new petty laws and now they are at the point where they are taking over private corporations because they feel they cant run themselves and giving warranties for cars, retroactively taxing bonuses out of the hands of people who legally earned them and were guaranteed them in a binding contract between them and the employer.
We need government, but we do not need a big government, not a strong centralized government because it breeds corruption. We need to trim the edges of our government we have right now as it is growing itself out of controll and it is getting too expensive.

Also the Amish have much less guidance from the FDA, they are allowed to do things which we are not allowed to do due to their religious convictions. But they still drink and get DUI's on their horse and buggies!!! true story
