Law Enforcement and Military: CALLING ALL PATRIOTS

Ill keep it brief. I have served in the Air Force, and I am currently employed in law enforcement. Seeing the way that our world and society are evolving, I feel that it is absolutely essential that we keep in mind what side we are on. By that, I mean that we must realize that WE ARE CITIZENS. We are not part of the establishment. All of us need to do some soul searching, and think about some of the rapidly evolving scenarios that would not even be considered a decade ago. Will you remove firearms from the hands of private citizens? As law enforcement do I want the military taking an increasingly high level of "public" action in the US? As a soldier, are you willing to mobilize in US communities? Do you know what The Posse Comitatus Act was/is? Will I violate it? What is their reasoning for mobilizing me? Am I willing to protect the citizens, and fight WITH them, and uphold my oath to DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION against all enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC? Will I follow their unlawful orders? These and many other questions you need to be seriously considering. I urge you to join me at:

    http://oath-keepers.blogspot.com/

You can remain anonymous, but even if you dont join, please take time to read and consider the information. WE ARE CITIZENS. But the establishment has made us the citizens with the guns. Are you for or against the people you were sworn to protect? Carefully consider this.

I'd like to keep this area bullshit free, as far as "Cops suck and pick on me because I smoke dope" and "Military people are stupid and have little man syndrome and want to be Rambo". Thats a conditioned response, and I dont wanna hear it. Start a new thread. As a matter of fact, If you hate us, for whatever reason, you should appreciate this discussion.

I really want law enforcement and military to weigh in. We really need to discuss this.

I'm not military nor LE, but I read the news, and my eyes are wide open. I'm happy to see that you are taking this citizens first position.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I'm very familiar with Operation Vampire Killer. Thank you for reminding me, and the rest of us.

Great topic Condor. I'll be anxiously awaiting the thoughts posted by other folks in law enforcement/military.

Ex-military here... I really think a well informed public is the best defense against what is looming on the horizon as the inevitable forced disarmament of private citizens.

It's the oath I took to defend the constitution and the people, it does not expire, it's a life long oath like marriage (in the traditional sense, not the well we argued alot so we broke up.)

It's a sacred trust that has been breached, protecting the innocent from unconstitutional laws, from military rule.

The 9th ammendment guarantees the rights of the people, specificly the rights that are NOT written in the bill of rights.

In a truly civilized society there will be no guns. At some point we have to start leaving them behind. Just because our constitution says we have the right to bear arms doesn't mean that a million years from now we absolutely MUST have guns.

True, at some point we may not need weapons. But I don't see that point as being now.

Until the threat of home invasion robberies vanishes entirely, we do not live in a truly civilized society. Until that point, I believe responsible gun ownership is a good idea. Plus, going out to the range is a good time and a great stress reducer.

Let me know when our society becomes even remotely civilized. It's the only way I'll change my mind.

The point of this thread is not to argue gun ownership and 2A. You say it doesnt mean we MUST have them, but if we want to it is afforded by the Constitution. Nobody is making you own anything. The point of this is to ask those of us who are essentially the front lines WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WHEN YOU ARE GIVEN AN UNLAWFUL ORDER OR TOLD TO VIOLATE THE CONSTITUTION/BILL OF RIGHTS WHEN ACTING UNDER COLOR OF AUTHORITY?? Its coming. As a matter of fact, Its already here.

My question is are you just some power hungry authority obsessed thug, or are you a civil servant that uses his/her head and lives up to the OATH you took? Even if you feel that guns are not necessary in a utopian civilized world, we are far from it. This is not the time to be discussing "a perfect world" because we are definitely not living in it. So, what are you gonna do when your door is kicked in and youre searched and you property is seized? Your wife is carted off for 'subversive literature'?? Illegal road check points where you are illegally searched, arrested without charge and held indefinitely for speaking your mind, etc.....If there is no free exercise of 2A, how do you fight back against that? How do you fight true tyranny? Its damn sure not a rally or a sit in. You better hope the fellas with the guns are on your side. You better hope we are discussing it, and on the side of liberty, instead of blindly following orders and confiscating your property, treating you like an animal, and sending you to that FEMA camp.

PLease urge everyone you know in the service to THINK ABOUT THIS. It is imperative. By the time youre told "Hey, go knock on those doors in that subdivision and confiscate all firearms. If they resist, take care of it....for safety", you have better already thought the scenario through and know what your response will be.

Weird stuff, man. Sounds to me like you are looking for an excuse to shoot some guns at people.

With all due respect, I'm just confused on this one. Are you saying that you think gun ownership is going to be taken away from us. Please don't flame me, I just don't get what you're trying to say here, and am interested. I also don't have the patience to read through all of the links, sorry. Do you mind summing it up briefly. Thanks.

Edit: After reading a bit more of your link, I don't think you really need to be worrying about this. In fact, the Obama administration has abandoned their push to banish assault weapons, so that should not even be a concern to you. I think everything will be alright.

Look up H.R.45. Not saying it will pass, just saying its being discussed. And I think I'd trust a ****ing ham sandwich more than I trust the word of the Obama administration...or Bush administration...or...well, any of them.

Im not talking about gun ownership. How much more clear can I be.... Im talking about YOUR BASIC LIBERTIES... ALL OF THEM, and: will the sheep dog be turned into the wolf? Will the wolf obey?

If the government decides it doesnt want you driving red cars, or reading your favorite book, then who does it get to make sure you dont drive a red car or read that book? Me. I have that authority (in this example). I am the most visible wing of the government. Everyone hates us. I am an enforcer. The government told me to do it, so i CAN do it. Its my "job". But if I say to my "master", "Screw you, youre wrong. He can drive a red car. He can read that book. Go pound sand, I refuse to enforce this. You have no legal authority or legitimate moral or philosophical reason to request I enforce this.", then we avoid a lot of problems. You and I are then on the same team. Get it?

For those of you who scoff at the idea of a NWO and the Incrementalist who put Globalism into action one.....tiny....step.....at.....a....time, "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free."

I guess Ill let this die. Figured the citizens would appreciate knowing we think about this too, but not so sure now.

NWO, knows no bounds and no loyalty to any entity but the system. It has been growing rapidly just like cancer.
