No, didn't play, didn't do poo, sat on my ace a lot though.

I'm def finitely looking on Craiglslist; I'm looking for some recommendations on what brand/type to look out for.

What's wrong with your current driver? you seem to do pretty well with it.

I love golf and snusing goes great with it. Just look at pro Henrik Stensons upper lip. Driver recomendation? Thats a very broad question. check out golfwrx.com forums. Lot's of golf equipment talk there. I would consider buying ebay. You can score great deals from reputable buyers there.

              Ever golfed at Salishan?

I guess I'm looking for some brand names and models. I know where to shop frugally, I just need to know what to look for, as I've been out of the loop for a few years.

I cant believe I let this topic slip past me! I golf my ass off.

I dont know what kind of drivers you have tried, or if this post is even still applicable?? Did you get a new driver already is what Im saying...

Anyway, I mostly have been using PING drivers for the past like 5 years I think. I just like the feel of the clubs and the sound is the best! My suggestion would be to go with the G5 or G2 driver. Both are outstanding clubs and can be had for a good price. I actually have a G5 and a G2, but I play the G2 more. In reality, the G2, G5, and new G10 are all so similar I think that the only thing that changed on them through the years is aesthetics. I have not hit the Rapture line, but Im sure its all redundancy. I really like PING products, though. I have a set of I3+ irons that I really like. I have the G2 3 wood as well, and really like it.

When all of the hype came around about the R7 I was like I gotta look into this.... But I wasnt really that impressed by it. I think folks like them because you can change the weighting, but most of the people I have seen playing them dont hit the ball well enough to tell a difference, and certainly dont know how to work the ball. Its go-go gadget shit, IMHO. I dont like the feel of them very much either, they feel empty. That being said, I play Taylor Made R7 TP irons. Like the irons, dont like the driver, but I like the R7 7 wood. The R9 is overrated and overpriced.....well, most of the shit is overpriced.

The Cleveland Launchers are nice, but the high pitched "TIIIING!" when you hit the ball gets old.
                Titleist makes really excellent drivers.

What kind of clubs are you currently playing?

Dude, I can go on and on about golf, but I wont until someone goads me into it. Its my secret love, and I have been playing since I was about 10 years old.

                  Bump!

My sons clubs came in the mail today....he got them for his 5th birthday.

Soooooo excited. He needs some lessons but looking forward to hitting the driving range with him

Also....the lack of golf love on this forum is mildly depressing.

Im going out on monday first time in a couple months.......

                  Golf! Woot!

Golf is fun! Even though I suck pretty bad. My brother did some freelance work for Calaway and right before he quit last year he scored me a sweet new set of clubs and got a screamin deal on them. I've only used them once. And I live 3 minutes from a range! Inexcusable.

He saw mine and insisted....now to find lessons.

I also got him 48 wiffle golf balls....we can practice our swings in the living room without destroying anything.

The only hard part is he's a lefty....the clubs are a touch big but he has some growing time with them.
