    Funny Bird

I imagine PP is well acquainted with this bird, but I just learned of him this week. This thing makes me laugh big time :^D

LOL, good find. Snowball got to be quite famous in the past 8-10 months. Hes a Surphur Crested Cockatoo. Generally, they are pretty sweet birds but it can scream as good as it can dance. And alot of these birds have emotional problems brought upon them by being domesticated. If you want a treat, trust me here now guys, Turn your speakers up, close your eyes and go here.............

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

That's a good site PP. Birds can be a real PITA, and I don't think most realize the challenges involved. I've had a few smaller birds in the past, and even they can be frustrating at times(damn lovebirds can be loud :^D). They should put pamphlets up in all the pet stores describing some of the issues, but I guess that wouldn't be good for business, eh?

Agree. Good one, PP. A cage for birds is, for me, one of the most awful things I can think of. They have the same things for horses, called "stalls". For humans they're called "jail cells". Someday when we're more enlightened we'll look back on these times and feel tremendous sadness.

That's exactly the problem. Folks who don't really know what birdkeeping is all about, seeing a bird like that and wanting one too. So they get one, and most of the time it's all down hill. The owner getting in over his/her head, and the bird being passed around from home to home, or locked in a cage and ignored. It's often heartbreaking seeing what becomes of these beautiful creatures. Larger parrots, Macaws & Cockatoos aren't like other smaller birds or other pets like dogs & cats (which are all easy to care for by comparison). I'm a huge bird lover but I've come to realize that (in most cases) these creatures just shouldn't be kept as pets. JMO
