I do as well, watching religion, and studying many religions is a great way to study sociology. Religion is the largest mass movement in history I think and I am interested in finding out why that is, where it came from, what mechanisms the religion meme has used to stay alive and well for thousands of years.

I am more a spiritual mix of the religious philosophies that I like, among them Rajneeshism, Advaita Vedanta, Vaisnavism, Nichiren Buddhism, and Pure Land Buddhism.

I don't like labels, they restrict growth and thought. But I draw from several philosophies: Germanic Polytheism, Panentheism, Polytheistic Satanism, Luciferianism . But these are subject to change at any time.

And since the idea of God is unprovable one way or another, I act as if God doesn't exist. I try to be the best person I can. If there is a God and he's so petty as to damn an otherwise good person for not worshipping him all the time, he's not the sort of God I'd want to worship anyway. If there isn't one, I haven't lost anything. I suppose it's an atheist's version of Pascal's wager, only without the stupid bit in it about tricking God into thinking you believe in him in order to get into heaven.
Best answer I've heard. I don't want a god that is vengeful and petty, who cares what food we eat and is obsessed by what your weiner looks like.

Now; i have absolutely no religious affiliation. To put it simply, I didn't like being lied to.

How does Polytheistic Luciferianism work? Like there are multiple satans? I hadn't heard of that one before.

I think that's traditional Satanism, belief in an actual Satan and demons.

That was a typo, I actually meant to type Polytheistic Satanism. But, I'm sure that would also prompt you to ask a similar question. And it's a good question. Basically it means you revere many Gods/Godessess from different pantheons, but Satan is your primary focus. But here is where it gets confusing.

Some Theistic Satanists see the Judeo-Christian Satan as a real entity and others see him as merely a necessary force in nature. Of course, to believe in the Judeo-Christian Satan as a real entity requires that you also believe in Judeo-Christianity, or that you at least believe that while he may not have existed when first conceived by man, he has now come into existence due to millions of people sub-consciously believing in him. Which I believe has occurred with all deities.

I just see Satan as (just as his name implies) the opposer, the adversary, one who brings about change, individualism and free thought. A Satanic archetype has been a common thread throughout many practices. It's not about "good" and "evil" for those are human terms. It's about light and darkness, the yin and yang. It's a balance.

As for Luciferianism, Lucifer and Satan are different deities. Lucifer was the Roman God, The Bringer of Light/Wisdom. There is only one reference to Lucifer in the bible, and I believe it is in Isaiah, and only in the King James version I think. The other versions state "O, how ye have fallen O' Morning Star (Lucifer)" But the Morning Star is actually Venus, and Venus is associated with Lucifer.

But then you have Laveyan Satanists. Laveyans are for the most part Atheists and Agnostics. They just see Satan as a symbol and a focus point to bring about change and individualism, etc...

There are a lot of fringe wacko groups out there that proclaim themselves as Satanists and Luciferians. Especially, some Luciferian groups that talk about aliens and go on about the Freemasons and the Illuminati.

There are really only a few very reliable and informative persons online that represent it correctly. Michael W. Ford and Venus Satanas on Youtube, Diane Vera has a very informative Occult website, and John Allee.

Tom, I knew you might have an interest there. You know I don't recall any immediately, but I'm sure a Google search of "Luciferian Aliens" could turn some up. Type Luciferian into Youtube and you'll get some of the Freemason/Illuminati folk.
