Your very first snus

I thought it would be cool to do a survey to find out the very first authentic snus you ever tried, and if you still use it.


I'm still extremely new, but my first was Offroad Limited Apple Portion...while not a favorite I could see myself using it again.

My first snus was a General Original portion, the brand my boyfriend uses. He was highly amused by my distaste for it.

Then last month, he sent me a tin of Mocca Mint and I was hooked! Just got my first order from BuySnus.com, but I tried the Mocca Pomegranate this time. I think the mint is my favourite though.

My first was Etten. I had read about snus, and got a try out box from Northerner. This was long before Camel.

I tried the Etten first as I had read it was one of the oldest, most traditional brands. Ans strangely, no, I rarely if ever get it now. Maybe I need to get a tin next order.

Cazial, you should try the new General mini mint. Very sweet, sweeter than most, if not all, Swedish snus. But not overdone and quite yummy.

I was having a cigar at the local smoke shop and the guy gave me a General Sampler and handed me a regular portion.

Didn't much care for it at first but its starting to grow on me. Still like skruf the best in my very limited experience.

Metropol licorice out of a Northerner sample box. I got the 24(I think) tin box, that I don't believe they have anymore.

The first brand of the real Swedish that I tried was Ettan original portion. I liked it a lot. I don't use it anymore though. Once I got into Ettan loose it was impossible for me to go back to the portions.

Camel Frost. First real Swedish...General Wintergreen white portion. It was the free can offer from getsnus. Then I ordered a 5 can flavored sampler with Skruf Cranberry, Catch Eucalyptus, Gottlands Anis, Offroad Coffee Vanilla, and General Wintergreen. I liked most of those, but the Coffee Vanilla is horrible. There was nothing coffee or vanilla about it....if they want to be honest, they should call it Offroad Ass.....which is pretty much what it tastes like. I like the Skruf Cranberry and the Anis, as a change from my usual General Wintergreen.

General Wintergreen. I LOVE Wintergreen Lifesavers, so it was an obvious call.

Heard about Swedish snus from a roll your own forum. Ironically, 711 had just put in their fridge of camel snus. I tried that while waiting on my order, but couldn't get past 2 portions.

I still use General Wintergreen
and I no longer "roll my own":wink:

I agree with you on the MOCCA mint, I like it too. I just ordered a can to compare and have a little more nicotine than the General mini mint. I like both. But sometimes I need a break from the sweetness of General's mint.

It's always nice to see more women come around here.

It was Lucky Strike at a party. I put in two pouches and didn't really feel the kick because I was quite drunk at that moment. I only really began snusing after trying two pouches of Ettan during a lesson and the kick was awesome. Soon bought myself a couple tins of General.

:wink: well you know mine but I'll share with everybody else.


I tried some Camel, then a coworker had some of the Offroad Apple (crap if ya ask me). We got our first order and I got Offroad Coffee Vanilla, actually decent once you get it moistened up and past the initial flash flood in your mouth. I also got some Catch White Licorice portions and LOVE them.

I'm looking for something fruity for the next order. And want an energy portion with some kick. Any suggestions?
