Actor David Carradine found dead in Bangkok

BANGKOK — Actor David Carradine, star of the 1970s TV series "Kung Fu" who also had a wide-ranging career in the movies, has been found dead in the Thai capital, Bangkok. A news report said he was found hanged in his hotel room and was believed to have committed suicide.

It's a damn shame.....he was easily in my top ten list of favorite actors. :cry: I was really happy when he broke it big again with the Kill Bill movies.

It's puzzling that someone who was into Eastern philosophies and practices as he was would take their own life like that...

It was quite a difference from the picture Carradine painted of himself in the old days. In a 2004 interview with The Associated Press, Carradine talked candidly about his wild ways, saying he had not taken a drink since 1996 but that he had experimented with "a lot of psychotropic drugs" decades earlier...

Well this is getting interesting...

Police Lt. Gen. Worapong Chewprecha told reporters that Carradine was found with a rope tied around his genitals and another rope around his neck.

"The two ropes were tied together," he said. "It is unclear whether he committed suicide or not or he died of suffocation or heart failure."

Not sure what it exactly it was, but after watching Larry King Live when his manager said he got a call from the producer of the film stating, "There definitely was foul play involved.", and finding out that the Thai police just released today that his hands were tied behind his back, well, who knows. The security cameras showed nobody entering his hotel room, so if it was foul play someone was already in there and waiting.

Yeah, he had a drinking habit at one point, and went through several marriages, but his career had just turned positive after Kill Bill and he had several more movie deals for after this one was completed. Friends and family said he was happy, marriage and all.

Who knows..
