    Hi from Denmark

    Hi, I'm from Denmark.
For some idiotic reason, loose snus is allowed in this corner of the world, but snus in portioned bags is not allowed!

I just bought a small pack of Phantom Blue loose snus, and to be honest, I didn't like it all that much (but I'm brand new to snusing). I just thought it would be nice and handy for plane trips etc. on vacations.

Instead I bought some Olliver Twist tobacco pastils, taste better...but they lack the power og nicotine.

    Welcome to Snuson isteen

I love the Oliver Twists, but you are right, not that strong. I usually use 2 -3 at a time that makes them a bit better.

You can always make your own portions using some los and tea bag material.

      Welcome to Snuson!!

Give Orlik snus a try. It's made in Denmark, and the couple I had I thought were pretty good. It may be tough to find, but a tobacco shop should carry it.

          Welcome!

These days Orlik snus can usually be found at the central station in Copenhagen. And you'll also be able to get General lös and a couple of Offroads (licorice and cranberry). But be aware -- sometimes there's nothing at all. A lot of 7-elevens have General and Grov lös in small fridges, and you could also get lucky in Skjold Burne or other tobacco related shops.

The selection here is pathetic ... that's why I always buy online from Sweden (buysnus.com, northerner.com). I get the occasional tin from the places I've mentioned but that's about it. All the good stuff is delivered to my door!

            Hi Subtilo

Hi Subtilo, nice to meet another danish priseur.

I Randers we have one of the most well-assorted tobacco shops I have seen, so lös snus id not a problem...although they carry mainly Phantom and Of Road snus. For some reason they don't carry General or Copenhagen.

Oliver Twist is also a great solution, I just got a small sample pack with 10 pieces, from the 5 flavours there is available. Actually I just have tasted the Arctic flavour - and I like it.

When I go on holiday this summer, it will be nice to have some Oliver Twists as a substitute for my menthol cigarettes 8)

Is it legal to order portion snus over the internet (in Sweden) for personal use in Denmark?

Yes! No problem! I do it all the time.

Oliver Twist is good stuff, I've tried most of the flavours -- and also the sampler that you got. I like Royal best, I think. Still, it can't beat good snus in my opinion.

Randers, eh? I had a girlfriend there years ago ... spend some fine days strolling around the city.

And I visit Copenhagen quite often....I grew up over there

I'll check out some swedish snus sites, to buy some online.
                Any links you can recommend?

Nice! Be sure to check out the central station + 7-eleven next time you're over here. A tin of General lös is always good.

I usually buy from buysnus.com but northerner.com is also a great place. Both have great customer service -- I've bought snus from them for years (as have many others in here), and I've never had trouble at all. The few late deliveries was because of Post Danmark.

isteen- first off, welcome. Second, have you tried actually chewing the Oliver Twist bits? If you just leave it sitting on your gum you won't absorb any nicotine. If you chew it and move it around, it will slightly expand its size, and I get a pretty good nicotine hit that way. Sometimes I need two or three pieces to get an immediate nicotine hit, but usually one bit suffices.
