Listening to Wu-Tang clan the 36 chambers album. i love all music from lyrical rap all the way to death metal. as a musician and artist i enjoy various genres of music. anything that has talent behind it ill listen to it. i saw the mars volta live with system of a down a while ago. system and mars have amaizing chorus and breakdowns in their songs.

Now Death's amazing album Idividual Thought Patterns has been playing on and on in my player. It's truely a perfect death-metal album and I might even consider it being better than their previous album, Human.

King Crimson - Discipline (Track 6, The Sheltering Sky)

Incidentally, Death's last drummer (Richard Christy) is on one of my favorite radio shows. Talk about a 180-degree turn in one's career.

Hell yeah! I haven't listened to samael in years. they were one of my all-time favorites. You guys should check out ...and Oceans, Satyricon and (my personal favorite norwegian band) the Kovenant. Animatronic was a very under appreciated ground-breaking record IMO. Blackmetal blended with electronic music is a perfect combination.

The Kovenant kicks ass despite their retarded photo session pics. Great stuff for the raging atheist (as I sometimes am) for sure.

Samael's Passage album is one of those that really started my love of underground metal (alongside Moonspell's Irreligous). when I heard Angel's Decay and Rain. Those songs are killer. Most of their other stuff doesn't really get me going though. It's probably better appreciated if they didn't already set such a high standard on Passage. But Solar Soul is pretty good I think. I just miss that blackish industrial going on. The 'upbeat' stuff is alright but doesn't match the esoteric badass flavor of Passage.

I liked "The Kovenant" when they were still called "Covenant".
Animatronic (their second opus) left me wanting pretty bad after their first one. It just plain blew IMO.
