nonserv- I just use this free program called Audacity, for my home recordings, it's multitrack, you mix it, and make a wave file. I then use Windows movie maker, with an image, and then upload it to youtube. Simple and easy.

That doesn't sound too difficult. I really wish I would have tabbed out the songs back then. I can only faintly remember them now. I do remember I seemed pretty impressed with them at the time, but once again....my perception may have been a bit askew.

nonserv- you will need something to put the sound from the instruments into the computer, I have an old 4-track, I pugged into the computer microphone. I'm thinking anything would work, even an effects pedal. I use a drum machine I hand play.

Yeah, once things in life seem to slow down I would like to compose my own tracks. It worked for guys like Burzum and Nortt. Not that I expect or want any profit, but just for my own satisfaction and fun.

In fact my life has been so busy I rarely have time to chime in around here anymore. Not to mention I went back to dipping instead of snus. There is only so much conversation you can have about dip.

I actually considered trying to hit my 666th post and going AWOL. Figured it would be appropriate. But I think I enjoy this music thread too much to stop at 666.

LOL! Thanks man. I seriously doubt I could refrain from not posting here anymore. There is almost always something in this thread or the "world around us" thread that sparks my interest.

Slightly off thread topic, but life has been crazy this last couple of months. I had posted this in another thread a while back:

                              "A funeral in another state
                              Grandma in the hospital
                              Grandfather-in-law taking chemotherapy
and to top it all off.....

I had to shoot our cat! He has suffered from seizures ever since a hawk swooped in on him and left a nice gash in his head. Well, a couple of weeks ago I could hear him doing his usual seizure gymnastics on the porch.

Apparently, in his post-seizure stooper, he staggered too close to a gap in the fence and the dogs made him a chew toy. After I chased the dogs out of the yard with the shotgun, the cat wouldn't let me tend to him (can't blame him) so I put him down. Feline funeral services were the following evening.
                              "

And now to add to it, I twisted my ankle a couple of weeks ago and have been gimping around like Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol. So if you do have to chase me down and drag me back I guarantee it would be easy as I couldn't get very far. I'm ready to start 2011 and burn 2010 to the ground.

But all is well. The meds for my ankle seem to have brightened my outlook on life.
