Mayhem's De Mysterious album is really great. I recorded a cover version of a song off of that in the 90's, that I have somewhere I need to find it. My music archives is a bag stuffed cassettes, going back to the 80's, with who knows what on them all.

Soundgarden - 4th of July. I got a private invitation from my good friend to a "fashion" party where they were going to be last night, but I didn't go. They weren't playing, just getting paid to stand around, so I thought that would be a pretty ****ing lame way to meet my favorite band from high school. Me and fashion do not mix. I was much better off in my sweatpants eating Thai food, drinking beer, and watching a film. Get Soundgarden to play some late-eighties to mid-nineties shit and I'm there.
