Damn't! I forgot all about the new Burzum. I was going to download it from Itunes a month or so ago, and I got sidetracked somehow.

You know it seems everytime I think I've completed my music library and I can take a rest and save my money for something else, I discover a new band or a new album comes out.

Now I have to add the new Burzum and this Hangatyr band to my list. I've also been meaning to pick up some albums from the past that I've lost over the years, like Pantera's Cowboys, Beyond Driven, and Trendkill. Not to mention the best of Hank Jr. You gotta listen to some Bocephus occasionally, I don't care who ya are!

Cool. My full band is recording now for the new Astrum album. 11 new songs. Drums are done, and yesterday we got all the guitars from one of the guitarists for 8 songs done. We plan on next weekend to finish his, and do the other guitarists, and bass, and hopefull my vocals, if not, then I'll do those the weekend after. I do feel confident, this will be the best album of it's kind since Sodom's Persecution Mania. Once I get some finished, or mostly finished material, I'll post something. Of course many songs of Astrum's last album are on youtube(astrum502) and the myspace.com/themightyastrum.

Tom, The song Grey is really great, it does remind me of a Sodom song One Step Over The Line from the Tapping the Vein CD.

The best Mayhem album IMO. Funeral Fog and Freezing Moon. You know the first time I heard Funeral Fog, I thought he was saying Funeral F*#k! I thought, man this is some twisted necrophelia themed black metal

Damn't BiPolar, there you go again, making my music-to-buy list even longer.

I haven't even listened to them yet. But something tells me by the album artwork and your use of the word "haunting" that I'll probably dig it!

I also see they are from Greece. The home of Rotting Christ and Septicflesh. Another plus!

A co-worker is letting me listen to his copy of KISS- Music from the Elder. Ever heard of it?

Nope. I love old classic KISS, maybe up to Rock N Roll Over(I need to get this CD).
The KISS I used to have in the 70's on LPs were KISS(self titled), Dressed to Kill(my fave), Destroyer, Love Gun, Hotter than Hell, Rock N Roll Over. And ALIVE 1 and 2.

To me, that's all the KISS that matters. I did get their new one, and it's OK.

Well....Kiss's Music from the Elder is a rock opera like concept album released in 1981, featuring their new drummer Eric Carr (RIP). The album flopped.

After all these years of hating it, now I find it a pleasure to listen to.
