Don't know why, but something possessed me the other day to give Type O a listen and then I start seeing all the R.I.P. comments. I had no idea he had passed. He really had a unique voice, and at 6' 8" he kind of had an Addams Family Lurch thing going on.

So far I'm liking what I hear. Best albums so far seem to be Bloody Kisses and October Rust. Their first album has a little too much punk influence for me. While the music doesn't seem terribly original or complex, the overall presentation and atmosphere is really enjoyable.

Please give me comments on my new song? The youtube sound is not as clear as the CD, and my Cronos meets Harley Flannagan power bass is not as audible, but we are thinking this will be the album to generate some label interest. We have 11 new songs done for the new album. I think this Hellegion is a rocker. Opinions?

I liked it. I like that kind of music, Black Metal, Punk, Thrash. I am a bass player as well and like your style from what I could hear. I think if you find the right label they will put it out for you. There is a band in Des Moines called Black Market Fetus that put an album out on Six Weeks records, its not too hard to do. Good Job!!

I know my punk rock and have limited knowledge of metal/thrash/black metal so my comments are biased.

Likes- The main riff starts heavy and holds my interest as well as the vocals/content. I like that it is not flat out roar with no understanding but a mix of punk/metal. The transition from heavy to a slowdown is also great.

Dislikes- Guitar Solo (I would just get rid of it, my punk bias.)
Maybe just my ears but vocals need to be a little louder as well as percussion over bass.

Good stuff, and I like the old school vibe of it.
