Listening to satellite radio, the best of the 70's and 80's with some occasional Christmas music. Working the night shift again its the best way to make time go by a little faster . Also reading the forum here helps too

This is from a local show that I attended last Saturday. It was great. This clip is Abominant's singer and The Stonecutters doing an Iron Maiden song. I'm not seen in this, I was over on the wall to the side, but you can see my buddy Lord Riktor on the left at the end holding a camera, he wrote and co-wrote many of my ASTRUM songs, like Reaper, and we do the Inferniti project together, he does the vocals on it. They want my band to play on the 17th, but I doubt it, as we just are not together to play a live show with such short notice.

Orange Caramel - Magic Girl. Not much to listen to, but very nice to watch.

Jim, the drummer for Abominant said he'd play drums if I wanted to do a show, and Brian of Wurmkraut said he'd play bass, so my band may be changing. I've been thinking of going solo like Johnny Cash as well. I'd like to be able to play some shows, as I have been asked so many times, but my current band just doesn't seem ready at a notice.

Am I the only musician here? Does anyone else write songs and record them, and share them? I'd like to hear other's stuff, no matter how ametuer or crappy it might be. But it always seems I am the only one that writes and records.

I wanted to be a musician. Music is always in my head. I tried to learn to play guitar for years. I learned everything mentally, but my fingers just couldn't do it.

One time I was playing a little with a professional guitarist and he was showing me a piece. I kept hearing a wrong note and I finally worked up the guts to mention it. He said, "I've been playing this for a long time and I know its right." But, he finally humored me and asked me which note and asked me what note I wanted him to play, instead. He went through it a couple of times and said, "Hmmm. You're right."

So, I know it in my head. I could play the material, but I could never make it sound musical. I finally gave up.

I still have all my equipment, though.

Thanks for the reply. I was always a music fan growing up. I started liking new wave, syth stuff, and wanted a syth, like Gary Numan. Then I got into punk, and then underground metal. I finally got a guitar in my early teens but did not know how to properly play it, but I devised my own way, and made songs of my own. I wanted to play music, my own music, so I later learned more, but basically taught myself to play the kind of music I wanted to play. I do more music now than ever. Especially now I met others finally to have a band, I never met others with similar music interests that played before, it was a matter of meeting people at that right time. But I have done many home recordings by myself. I just like to write my own stuff. I never cared to play other's stuff.
