This is my last dip / chewing tobacco topic for the month. I'll move on after this one.
I just couldn't pass up telling everyone the great deal I found today.
I went to the local Tobacco store for some Djarum cigarettes after reading a bit about them here. Me no like BTW.
I spent a good amount of time looking around and chatting with the old fellow behind the counter.
I was interested in finding some rope or plug tobacco too. When all of the sudden I saw this big sign over the old coot's shoulder with $11.75 written on it in marker.
Hmmm. What the hell kind of dip costs $11.75? A big farkin black plastic 12oz. butter tub looking pile of heaven.
There were two flavors. Long cut wintergreen and Fine Cut natural.
I'll take natural over wintergreen any day.
The brand is Stoker's. They had a little plastic bag inside the tub with an empty can inside to fill as needed. Nice concept.
12oz of dip for less than $12. Ten cans worth. That's 340 plus grams!! WOW. And you know what else? It's good stuff. Wait did I say good? It's great stuff!!
I searched the web for whatever I could find on Stoker's and pretty much came up with e-stores who sell cigarettes and dip online. I did find what looked like a Stoker's homepage, but it consisted of only an online form to get their catalogue in the mail. I signed up.
From what I saw I recognized the chewing tobacco on some of the webstores I've browsed. They appear to produce RYO, Leaf Chew, and Dip.
For the price I was honestly blown away by the quality. I was able to bake a nice pellet and caught a nice buzz from it. Flavor lasted longer than I cared to keep it in my lip. That's good.
I plan on getting in touch with this company to see if they would produce a Swedish style snus. If not maybe they offer bulk tobacco for you "brown thumb" do it yourselfers.
I'm excited now I got me a huge tub of tobacco. Maybe The Northerner could carry it on their site out of their American warehouse. What an economical deal.

It looks like this company has been around a while. -(Stoker's not the website. I just binged it at random to post a link to show what the tub looked like)- When they release the Long Cut natural I'm all over it. I'll never buy Premium dip again if it tastes as good as what I bought today.
