So I ran out of snus a few days ago.

Let me tell you, I was ticked, I had a tin go missing and it messed up my cycle

anyhow after smoking 15 dollars of cigs in a few days ( I HATE CIGARETTES!!!!) my order of snus came in half a day early and saved me from spending another $5 on a cheapo pack of nasty ass cigs.

right now I'm relishing some general dry mini mints to wash the smoke taste out of my mouth.

I can't wait to try out the phantom (now rothbrix) classic blue, if it tastes how the packaging smells I think I'll really like it.

my bonus can is general loose, I was hoping for some roda or some rape.

Trust me I know how that feels! And military don't pay shit! When I was in an E-3's base pay was $1140 and I think I got like $150 extra for jump status! Frikkin peanuts! Especially for serving your country!

meh, it's still got a bit of the windex aroma, not displeasing, I'm using the general I got, classic snus goodness. I made a few portions out of it this evening for tomorrow when I'll be out and about again, I've got shallow gums so I always end up with snus in my teeth. ops:

Why did you buy ciggs? I'd think a snuser, if they ran out of Swedish snus, would get some Camel snus before he'd get ciggs.

When I was in, I was paid $600 a month. I remember we had a vending machine with ciggs, and they were 75 cents.

I agree 100%! And while it may not seem like it, there ARE people back here that give thanks everyday for the sacrafices you are making!!

I got out in 97. Jumping out of planes was wreaking havoc on my back and knees! Well, not so much the jumping, more like the landing! I don't care what anybody says, with the low altitude chutes we used that landing still felt like jumping off a house! You can PLF all day long, and that shit still hurts! So when my ETS date came around I bolted. Biggest mistake of my life. Shoulda just changed my MOS and stayed in. I'd be 4 1/2 years from retirement right now!

i have heard many people say " I wish i stayed in ". i don't know im kind of deciding to seperate this year coming up. My DOS ( date of seperation) is JAN 2010. i have to make a really difficult decision really soon. i'm leaning more towards getting out and start studing and work a good job at the airport. you know life on the outside.

I think if you arn't in some field getting shot at, and have done well in it, I think staying in may be a good idea. The country is falling apart, and at least you'd have some security. I was a young rebel when I joined at 17, and did not fit well with the structure. I did my time, and I was out. But some people do well in it.

I would have to agree with Tom. Depending on how much time you have in. Plus from I hear they are giving outrageous re-up bonuses, especially if you re-up overseas! You've got great job security, and the lack of pay is kind of mafe up for with the free medical, and room and board. I have to admit I pretty much went straight from my parents house at 18 to the military. Even though I was only in 3 years, civilian life was quite a culture shock!

Just think long and hard and make sure you make the best decision for you.

I'm a former Blue Suiter (was an AMMO troop - none of that prissy flight crew stuff for me) who has an uncle that spent 22 years as a paratrooper in the Army - I asked him one time: "How is it that you bring yourself to jump out of perfectly good airplanes?"

His response was classic "I couldn't, that's why I jump out of C-130s."
