Man charged 23 QUADRILLION dollars for pack of smokes

MANCHESTER, N.H. – A New Hampshire man says he swiped his debit card at a gas station to buy a pack of cigarettes and was charged over 23 quadrillion dollars. Josh Muszynski checked his account online a few hours later and saw the 17-digit number — a stunning $23,148,855,308,184,500 (twenty-three quadrillion, one hundred forty-eight trillion, eight hundred fifty-five billion, three hundred eight million, one hundred eighty-four thousand, five hundred dollars).

Muszynski says he spent two hours on the phone with Bank of America trying to sort out the string of numbers and the $15 overdraft fee.

My theory is that he accidentally logged into the Fed Gov's bank account and that's why he saw this debt of endless almost unimagineable quantities, whats your theory?

I dunno, with some of the rediculous $2,000 shoes and $6,000 bags Michelle Obama wears it could be anyone in politics.

Why does it remind me of communism when the nation is in recession, and yet those in political power seem to be richer than ever.

Sigh, the 80's were for nothing I guess.

FWIW, Michelle also wears a bunch of stuff MUCH cheaper. Was a big comment during the campaign. But my Mom was a corporate lawyer, I know how much she needed to spend on clothes for certain occasions

But the biggest difference??? Michelle uses HER'S and her husband's money to buy HER clothes. Sarah used money donated by thousands of people who though they were helping a political party,

And lastly, her and Barack made most of their money from his books. Had that money before the recession, and still do.

All politicians are the same. Even though they may have different ideals, they are all greedy elitists that look after themselves before anyone else.

Communism is a joke. Its basically a parody of fascism. Hell, Joseph Stalin had more people killed than Hitler!

And which is more, all the major fashion designers would kill to have the First Lady wear or use something of theirs. They give it to her for free. It's the best publicity in the world, and it only costs them whatever the garment was.

                Sage -

That's how they bought their house too, right?

                Or was that Rezko?

Wait, I remember, it WAS Rezko that bought the house, and then funded the campaigns and then got the book deals. Got it.

But it was the money from the BOOKS that they bought the shoes with.

                I understand.

Much, much worse for a campaign to buy clothes, not a sleazy slumlord to do it. I understand the logic.

Might want to check your sources again. Rezko didn't "pay" for their house, and that was never the issue

                  http://www.suntimes.com/news/watchdo...hdog24.article

                  7. A few months after Obama became a U.S. senator, he and Rezko's wife, Rita, bought adjacent pieces of property from a doctor in Chicago's Kenwood neighborhood -- a deal that has dogged Obama the last two years. The doctor sold the mansion to Obama for $1.65 million -- $300,000 below the asking price. Rezko's wife paid full price -- $625,000 -- for the adjacent vacant lot. The deals closed in June 2005. Six months later, Obama paid Rezko's wife $104,500 for a strip of her land, so he could have a bigger yard. At the time, it had been widely reported that Tony Rezko was under federal investigation. Questioned later about the timing of the Rezko deal, Obama called it "boneheaded" because people might think the Rezkos had done him a favor.

And I am done responding in this thread.

And FWIW, the house deal came way after Obama's first book. He was offered that book contract when he was elected as the first black president of Harvard law Review. It was after that that he wrote Dreams of My Father. 10 years before he bought that house, and it made it to # 1 THEN on the NY Time's best seller list. The Obama's had money long before the house deal, which was done 10 YEARS after Obama's first book

Snuson.com is an interesting place for me for many reasons. One of which is that its members seem to be vastly conservative and/or Republican, which is refreshing to me being a "big-city West-Coaster". Am I wrong in that assessment? I like Obama, for the most part, in particular his stance on foreign policy. There are also many things I don't like about him, but at least, IMHO, he is doing a much better job at improving the ways in which the rest of the wold perceives our country and its actions. Which is hugely important on the stage of today's world politics and our future relationships with presently "hostile" nations. Hugo Chavez even expressed his admiration for our President. I fully understand that his vote of "approval", if you could call it that (which you can't), and my endorsement of it, makes me out to be some kind of communist left-wing nut-job in the eyes of many, but I truly believe that mutual respect among nations today is the answer to many of our problems.

There, I said it, I like Obama. Continue on, I haven't even read most of this thread... something about Michelle Obama's clothing fund... Ah, the joys of politics on snuson.com. I love it, I really do! I am rarely exposed to such conservative viewpoints, and I think it's good for me. Perhaps, dare I say, that a "liberal" oral tobacco-user puts me in the minority to begin with? That was truly a hazardous remark. No offense. Let's discuss.

I'm surprised you're going to let someone get the last word.

I think you found a source yourself. If you can't read between the lines, I can't help you. Did you know that the Os now own the entire lot once owned by the Rezkos; paid for through installments? The original owner wouldn't sell the house under listing price unless the lot was purchased as well. The Os couldn't afford both, so in walks the OF (original funder).

You're right, it was Ayers that did the work behind the book deal, but Rezko followed shortly thereafter. It was Rezko that funded his initial public office campaign.

The Os are extremely shady people. BO-phites should be wary when getting all snarky. You can care about clothes. I'll care about slightly bigger things.

I'll be very impressed when you don't respond to this.

People see and believe what they want to see and believe... thats a fact. Very few people understand that they way you see the world affects your perception of the world. It says more about you when you "read between the lines" than the message that you got from reading the text.

Understanding how you see the world allows you to analyze your beliefs in a somewhat unbiased manner. This is the only way to find truth. I urg everyone to understand yourself and your motives before trying to persuade others to your point of view, it's the blind leading the blind.

With that said... there are some disturbing facts about Obama's past.. Like his real name is Barry (before he changed it).

But I'll make my judgements on the results of his actions, not on who he is or was. Right now... I have very few results to lean towards. I disagree with some of the socialist conotations to bills that he's passed or trying to pass. But applaud him on others that are just as libral.
