    Search Tips

Sometimes website search engines are very poor at searching for specific things. A search here on snuson for LD Lös is totally useless, even when using the AND operand.

Google to the rescue. You can use Google to search snuson (or any website).
    here's how it's done:

    site:websitename searchterm

    site:snuson.com "LD Lös"

Another tip that works on google (and youtube). When a word (like snus) ends in s, the search engine will return results with and without the final s. So your search will return results for snu and snus. To narrow down the results and get only snus you put the + sign infront of your search term.

snus will return snu and snus
    +snus will return only snus

    example:
    http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...rch_type=&aq=f

On google, you can also use the minus sign.

If you do a search for "Tobacco Farm", you will get back a lot of entries about Tobacco Farm Museum.

            So, search using the following...

            "tobacco farm" -museum

You will not get any results with "museum".
Putting the "tobacco farm" in quotes means that it has to find an exact match and not tobacco OR farm.

Actually it's not me, I just know how to use search engines. 8)

The only way I knew about that Phish pic, was looking at the file name.
Once I knew it was Phish, I just put "Phish" "hot dog" into google.

the same goes for "snusmumriken" "snus"

                  Brilliant absolutely brilliant

Now I just hope that I can remember how to do it, so the next time I need to use it, I can search for this post to get the instructions.
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers
