Yeah, Chris Hood is still the drummer. I don't think people realize what a great music scene there is in GA! It's all about Cali now. Don't get me wrong, Cali is great too....I got to meet Mike Ness and party with Blink 182 back during their days of "local band status". But Atlanta, Athens, and Macon have a great scene!

I don't know how old you are, but back in the early 90's there was this great little dive on Howell Mill Rd. in Atlanta called the Somber Reptile. I've partied down there with bands like Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Voo Doo Glow Skulls, Face To Face, and Lagwagon.

Those were great days...my 20's were awesome!

But without Athens, the world would have never had REM, The B52's, Drivin N Cryin, and other great bands! You are so fortunate to be living in Athens!

I really like Gary Numan, ever since Cars came out. His new stuff is great too.

If anyone cares, my punk metal band has finished recording for the new CD, and 3 of the new songs on on the myspace.

We got into a fight with Mike Ness in Athens. 7 degrees....

Athens is ok. Sick of the hippies, though. Im ready to move. I dont really watch live shows anymore because theres just too much drugs and scenestering involved. I played in some ska bands here and we even got to play with Reel Big Fish at the 40 Watt, played at GA theater.....a good run...

Condor you still have hippies in GA?? They've even moved out of Seattle and Portland... I figured they were all hiding behind ties, haircuts, and BMW's these days. Glad people started throwin stuff out there. Keep it coming. I'll post again later.

Damn that's cool as hell! I love me some ska! The Toasters, The Specials, Slapstick, mu330, Less Than Jake, Bruce Lee Band, and Skankin' Pickle are some of my favorites.

Asian Man Records signs some really good bands.

Disturbed tops my list of faves! Only seen them twice...so far  I also saw Halestorm a couple of weeks ago in concert with Chevelle, Shinedown, and Staind and was blown away by her. She has quite the voice and her songs were awesome...so much that now they've earned a spot on the car mp3 player

Damn It's a small world. I saw them play last year in Tucson. Couldn't stomach the entire show tho

I can't say I have any favorite songs. Right now I'm listening to Miss Kittin - Batbox

Otherwise, I usually steer towards punk rock and industrial.

Was listening to some Mojo Nixon earlier today while I was troubleshooting some phone lines...

Oh for any Ministry and Al Jourgansen fans out there, RevCo is touring!

Well, the band is from Texas. I'd say they are allowed.

I can't listen to too much of their recorded stuff. But the live show is AWESOME. Plus, now that Ministry is no more, The Revolting Cocks is the only other project I know of that Al is in.

There are a couple other industrial tours coming up too. KMFDM and Slick Idiot are touring a month or so apart from each other. Slick Idiot is two guys that broke away from KMFDM in 99 or so. I've been more impressed with Slick Idiot's albums. But this is KMFDM's 25th anniversary tour. I'll be seeing both for sure.

Damn Heppy...I just noticed that you're in Jackson Mississippi! That's my dad's old stompin' grounds! He was born in Kokomo, and grew up in Hattiesburg, and Columbia...right on the Pearl River!

I would imagine that he didn't get the warmest of receptions!

I love that area...used to stay for a month every summer until they moved my grandmother to a nursing home in GA.
