I did not vote for Obama. But I was always hoping Colin Powell would have run, as I would have happily voted for him, even though I don't agree 100% with everything he says.
So, I would be happy to have anyone of any race take office, if they did not have racially polarizing baggage, and a too leftist big government control national vision.

I agree Tom. Obama comes off as a great guy, as i'm sure he is. The one thing he has done perfectly which I WISH Bush would have done more often, is to stand up and be vocal about his plans, and to explain to the public why he wnats what he wants, even if I think his logic is flawed. Bush just sat and let it happen for years and hardly ever explained his actions.

I dont care about race, I just dont want more of the same. Obama is the opposite of change, he is just Bush #2. I want real change. Maybe next time

I wanted Ron Paul, the only real change candidate they had. But really, I don't think most people want change, the big lobbys and corporations surely do not.

I also wanted Ron Paul, although we dont agree on everything. I dont expect a candidate to be my clone, I jsut expect them to be mindfull of what America is and where our roots are and stay true to them.

                So, Let's Recap...

                1. The American people elect a black president with a total of 142 days experience as a US Senator from the most politically corrupt state (city) in America whose governors have been ousted from office.

The President's first official act is to order the close of Gitmo and make sure terrorists civil rights are not violated. (honest mistake?)

                2. The U.S. Congress rushes to confirm a black Attorney General, Eric Holder, whose law firm we later find out represents seventeen Gitmo Terrorists. (An honest mistake?!)

                3. The CIA Boss appointee, Leon Panetta, has absolutely no experience, has a daughter Linda, we find out, who is a true radical anti-American activist and a supporter of all the Anti-American regimes in the western hemisphere. (There were socio-economic factors involved!)

                4. We got the second most corrupt American woman (Pelosi is #1) as Secretary of State; bought and paid for.

                5. We got a Tax Cheat for Treasury Secretary who did not properly file his own taxes for 12 years. (He misspoke!)

                6. A Commerce Secretary nominee who withdrew due to corruption charges. (Another honest mistake???)

                7. A Tax cheat nominee for Chief Performance Officer who withdrew under charges. (Hmmm... another screw-up?)

                8. A Labor Secretary nominee who withdrew under charges of unethical conduct. (Ok, maybe this person was just plain stupid.)

                9. A Secretary HHS nominee (Daschle) who withdrew under charges of cheating on his taxes. (I'm running out of excuses for these idiots!!)

                10. Multiple appointments of former lobbyists after an absolute campaign statement that no lobbyists would be appointed. (Dear God, I am getting a headache!)

All this occurred just during the first three weeks. . but who's counting?

America is being run by the modern-day Three Stooges; Barry, Nancy and Harry and they are still trying to define stimulus..."it's spending!!!"

The congress passes the $800,000,000,000 (that's $800 billion) pork-loaded spending bill where the government gives you a smidgen of your tax dollars ($13 per week), making you feel so good about yourself [stimulated], that you want to run out to Wal-Mart and buy a new Chinese-made HDTV and go home and watch Telemundo!

                Only with the Liberals...

                Better Pray for our country.

                But more:
Obama took Air Force One to Denver to sign the stimulus package, wasting as much as 10,000 gallons of fuel OR 24 JOBS FOR ONE YEAR.
Don't you just love this hypocrite?

Speaking of praying, Obama has now been president for eleven months and yet he & wife (first lady) Michelle, the Christian family they claim to be, have not attended church on a regular basis since the inauguration.

                He must miss Reverend Wright!

In these times 'I'll keep my God, my freedom, my gun and my money.

Is this the "CHANGE" we can believe in and voted for?

...... cut and paste astroturf talking points.

                  http://www.sodahead.com/united-state...t/blog-186745/

it's funny it started out as a bash against Hillary Clinton.

The original # 4 was Hillary Clinton now they just took her name out and inserted Pelosi.

They just changed 42 days to 142 days..

Who is the Most Corrupt Woman in America?

This morning I received another happy, go-lucky, email from an 80+ year old grandmother; a woman, who is part of the “greatest generation”; a woman who my family has known and loved for many years. What is it about this past election that makes otherwise good people send these things along?

Below is the email with my comments in red:

                  Let’s Recap–

                  1. The American people elect a black president with a total of 42 days experience as a U S Senator from the most politically corrupt state in America whose governor is ousted from office. The President’s first official act is to close Gitmo and make sure terrorists civil rights are not violated. {Here we go with the race card being played again. Is it really the fact that America elected someone with so “little” experience that concerns you? Or is it the fact that he’s black? Well, seems to me it’s primarily because he’s black. Yes, Virginia, there are still racists in America today.}

Because these are all recycled talking points I'm sure they've been disputed elsewhere...but hell, why stop now? Also as such wa3zrm, when I say "you" here I'm talking about the author (and anyone who believes the talking point as well I suppose) and not necessarily "you".

                      1. So we shouldn't elect anyone from Chicago anymore due to their city's political mishaps? Oh, and http://www.factcheck.org/askfactchec...cain_been.html

The first official act is to order the close of Gitmo and thereby close the book on our outright torture of foreign prisoners. Dismissing torture as "civil rights violation" is wicked.

                      2. First, what does it matter that he's black? Worried about a "black takeover"? And I think you meant his "former" law firm. Lastly, not every inmate in Gitmo is a terrorist. Every human should be entitled to state their case before being condemned. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.

                      3. None? From his CIA page: He served as an Army intelligence officer from 1964 to 1966 and received the Army Commendation Medal. In March 2006, he was chosen as a member of the Iraq Study Group, a bipartisan committee established at the urging of Congress to conduct an independent assessment of the war in Iraq. From July 1994 to January 1997, Mr. Panetta served as Chief of Staff to President Clinton.

                      4. First of all, GREAT facts. I'm definitely convinced. Secondly, why do the whole "woman" thing? Who's the most corrupt American person overall? Still Hillary? That's like me saying "This thread contains posts by the most corrupt person named wa3zrm on SnusOn: wa3zrm." With no proof to back it up to boot.

                      5. It's easy to mess up on your taxes when you can't file a 1040EZ or simple 1040. I've had to go back and amend many times, and I'm small potatoes. He paid his back taxes just like any other American would have to do. I'm not saying he's not a cheat...most politicians are.

                      6. Good, he withdrew. It's called vetting.

                      7. Good, he withdrew. It's called vetting.

                      8. Good, he withdrew. It's called vetting.

                      9. Good, he withdrew. It's called vetting.

                      10. I kind of agree on this one...I would rather see all lobbyists taken out with the trash. However, I have to say that if a qualified candidate happens to be or have been a lobbyist, you can't discount them if there are ways to lessen that lobbying role.

Econony: You know what? People are running out and buying goods (and not just hispanics as the talking point implies), and the economy is on the rise. Companies are spending again, sales are up, labor is up. Soon companies will have to lose their extreme caution and start hiring again...that's why unemployment is a lagging indicator.

Next up...seriously, you're going to call him a hypocrite for flying? Would you rather he fly commercial where he's less secure? Secure travel is a requirement for a President in transit. Should he have driven? Maybe rigged up one of them fiiiiiiine railroad handcarts yessuh. This is a ridiculous talking point.

As for church...1) You can be Christian without attending church services, 2) "the church" is not a building, but the body of Christ, and going "to church" can be as simple as meeting with and praying with other Christians, 3) would not being Christian make him less acceptable as a US President? 4) He hasn't been to a mosque either, at least we can close the door on that stupid assumption.

The author of this talking point also probably believes Jesus was a white man who loved capitalism, guns, and hates socialized healthcare.

Hey neat. You haven't lost any freedom (more like continuation due to renewal of the Patriot Act, the one thing Obama has done that I will not forgive him for). You still have your gun...I know I have mine. And in fact gun laws have been made more open nationwide since Obama's presidency, not less. As for your money, while you probably won't see a single dime extra come out for taxes next year unless you're wealthy you will probably see a larger chunk for insurance premiums. But that's okay as long as it's not the government amirite?

And as for the ridiculous notion that the author of these talking points believed in or voted for change...I will only say "pssssssssh".

                      Fin.

This recent failed terror attempt, seems more like a botched false flag attempt.

I don't know what to make of it. I don't think it falls on "discussion on President Obama" but someone either screwed the pooch or pimped the pooch on this one.

Him being black doesn't matter. He is still wet behind the ears and Chicago or not, it seems all politicians are corrupt nowadays. I don't believe McCain would have been any better, which is why I didn't vote for either.

The President's first official act is to order the close of Gitmo and make sure terrorists civil rights are not violated. (honest mistake?)
I think it's important to make sure we are only rounding up terrorists and they should have to state their case, but the reality is that Obama hasn't done barely anything with Gitmo and it was more of a media thing than him actually caring. Gitmo is like Abu Gharaib (sp?) in that it's just gotta go since it's got so much bad publicity. While I don't think enemy combatants should be afforded all of the liberties and rights an American citizen gets, they at least need to be tried based on the rules of wherever they came from, since they are citizens of a country and therefore eligible for whatever civil rights are afforded to them by that country.

                              2. The U.S. Congress rushes to confirm a black Attorney General, Eric Holder, whose law firm we later find out represents seventeen Gitmo Terrorists. (An honest mistake?!)
Him being black, again, doesn't matter. There are plenty of reasons to not like Eric Holder who is imo a terrible choice for Attorney General but as much as I don't like this admin, I admit they won fair and square and we would not be doing the republic justice by not allowing them to appoint their people like every other administration has. While he seems to be "soft on terror" if Eric Holder lets even one of the 9-11 terrorists walk free he will have hell to pay so I don't see him doing that at the end of the day.

                              3. (There were socio-economic factors involved!)
And Dick Cheney's daughter is a lesbian, does that mean that Cheney couldn't be a real conservative? No, daughters don't matter, we cannot control what our kids do. And not that i'm standing up for him, but Leon Panetta certainly has experience. in more than 1 administration.

                              4. We got the second most corrupt American woman (Pelosi is #1) as Secretary of State; bought and paid for.
How does one gauge corruptness? Being from California, I hate boxer and Pelosi, and as far as Clinton, I honestly think she would have made a better president than Obama even though I don't like any of the Clintons. She wasn't bought and paid for, she was just told to step to the side since they needed a historical candidate like Obama to be able to pull of all of their goals such as HC reform which the Clinton’s already had a wack at and failed.

                              5. We got a Tax Cheat for Treasury Secretary who did not properly file his own taxes for 12 years. (He misspoke!)
Even with a tax professional handling your taxes, it is very hard to keep up with everything especially if you own a business, are self employed, or otherwise do everything via itemized deductions. It's a lot of shit to keep track of. In the end he paid the money, the system worked.

If you want to nail the treasure secretary, I think his past with the Fed reserve would serve as a better basis for complaint. It's a conflict of interest imo. We need to get all the ex goldman sachs employee's etc out of the cabinet. They do nothing but serve the corporations.

They all got vetted out. If you want to nail someone who withdrew, you should focus on Van Jones (Green job czar) who was a 9-11 truther and frankly a radical from the clips I’ve heard of his speeches.

                              10. Multiple appointments of former lobbyists after an absolute campaign statement that no lobbyists would be appointed. (Dear God, I am getting a headache!)
Well with this I can't say I disagree (Except for every sentence ending in a comment followed by an !!! in parenthesis)

Lobbying is reaching record levels with 3.3 billion spent to lobby congress so far this year.

America is being run by the modern-day Three Stooges; Barry, Nancy and Harry and they are still trying to define stimulus..."it's spending!!!"
Lol I think they made it clear that they were spending money to stimulate the economy, which isn't a bad idea, it's just that they spent most of it on banks and have had little oversight on the rest so it goes to all kinds of less than "job creating" projects.

Well it did contain over 9,000 pork projects despite Obama's pledge not to do that, but in reality congress will do as they please anyways regardless of what the executive branch wants.

                              Only with the Liberals...
Lol, umm, except for the last 8 years when the republicans also spent record amounts, started 2 wars, signed the patriot act, ran up the deficit and had multiple corrupt officials in office, who passed pork laden spending bills and gave big handouts to the very financial institutions that bankrupted the economy. Oh and the whole thing where Clinton repealed Glass Stiegel and replaced it with Graham Leach Bliley (sp,?) which deregulated the financial industry, which Bush did nothing to correct, which led to 8 years of toxic assets being traded around, snowballing between several corrupt institutions until the music stopped and the taxpayer was left without a seat.

But other than that, yah, only with the liberals.

                              But more:
Obama took Air Force One to Denver to sign the stimulus package, wasting as much as 10,000 gallons of fuel OR 24 JOBS FOR ONE YEAR.
Don't you just love this hypocrite?
Look the President requires security, he can't fly coach. And frankly, he's the president, even if he sucks it is the highest position our country has to offer and the guy can go eat an expensive dinner with his wife, buy arugula, or use air force one to fly on official business, I mean he's the President not some shmo. Calculating the gas mileage is irrelevant, there are some costs that are static in every administration, and fuel for AF1 is one of those.

Speaking of praying, Obama has now been president for eleven months and yet he & wife (first lady) Michelle, the Christian family they claim to be, have not attended church on a regular basis since the inauguration.
I don't now, nor have I ever, cared wtf the president did as far as religion. As long as he isn't using scripture when signing laws, and as long as he's not using his podium to preach to people, I don't care. If he went to church every weekend people would be complaining that he is wasting to much time when he should be doing his job.

                              He must miss Reverend Wright!
Reverend Wright is a racist radical, and I will not forgive Obama for attending his church for so long. I'm glad he doesn't any more, but for Obama to lie and say he was there for 20 years but never heard any of the sermons about how evil white people are, is an outright lie. I would rather have a president that makes mistakes and apologizes, then moves forward, instead of a dirty politician who is always trying to pretend like they’re squeaky clean. Look at how that worked for Tiger Woods.

In these times 'I'll keep my God, my freedom, my gun and my money.
No one is taking away God, freedom is as low as ever but not directly Obama's fault (though he has the power to fix some things like the patriot act), the gun laws are still nazi but Obama hasn't seized everyone’s guns like people feared, and as far as your money, well they are thinking up ways by the minute to tax that out of your hands to spend it while you can.

Holy shit sgreger, when did you up and get reasonable? That was spoken like a true "I hate both sides" Libertarian! Bravo, chapeau!

Lobbying is reaching record levels with 3.3 billion spent to lobby congress so far this year.
If this is true, it's disgusting. I'm so tired of lobbyists.
