Tropico 3 is out now, sgreger. Been out since Oct. 20th, according to Kalypso's site. I've played it. It's a lot like the first one.

Maybe for PC but for Xbox they are claiming not till 2010 (US anyways, I think AU came out earlier)

If it's out imma go grab it. Is it any fun?

and dude sgreger1, i will warn you, i tried out a month of gamefly and that shit was wack. you like cant get anything thats remotely new or popular, the waiting list is crazy. the only games i could actually get were like 13 or further down on my list.

Sgreger, I like it, man. But I was a fan of the first two Tropicos. Like I say, if you've played the first one and liked it, you'll like this one. It's straight city building, kinda like SimCity or Caesar, but you get to be Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Juan Peron, or someone similar. 8)

It doesn't hold my attention like Dragon Age did, but I tend to get into RPGs more anyway (with the exception of the Total War series).

And, yeah, I meant the PC version was out now. Sorry for the confusion. ops:

Yah my PC isn't up to par at the moment so i'll have to wait for the 360 release. i havn't played the orriginals but I am more of a RTS, Sim City, Civilization, anything strategy type kinda guy. I like RPG's and I did buy Dragons Age but it broke only hours after I bought it and it wasn't great enough to where i'd go buy another one right away.


I don't know, dragons age seemed cool but the combat was really slow and generic imo. Maybe I didn't play enough into it, I just got ot the part where the mage chick from the forest starts tagging along.

the gameplay is very classic rpg, so if you werent into the combat its probably not your thing, but i do feel like it gets much more fun the more badass your character and party gets. also the general story of the game cant be beat, its really cool. i really think you should rebuy it, as annoying as that is that youd have to do it, because i wholeheartedly love that game. i take it you didnt try taking it to family video to get it fixed yet? thats what i ended up doing and my game works like new.

I went to blockbuster and they said so save my money and not buy their repair product because it doesn't work. I went ot gamestop and they said it can't be fixed. I havn't actually tried anything yet but the game Dr repair thing supposedly doesnt work either which was going to be my next step.


I like the story but I also liek combat. This is why I liked Fallout 3 and badlands because the whole point of character progression is to slowly build your character into an unstoppable killing machine. Dragons age was cool for the story but I really felt the combat was lacking.


Also, I bought oblivion elder scrolls for 360 but onyl played it like 3 times. Didn't even relaly start the game, is it a good game? It seemed like a massive world but i've just been too distracted with other games to play it.

Nice. Ive got soo many games that I play half of them for 30 minutes and then go onto the next one. Im gonna start playing Oblivion now I think since i just finished comand and conquer 3: Tiberium wars.

I relaly can't wait for Fallout: New Vegas to come out. If they made another fallout 3 that lasted longer i'd be willing to pay upwards of 100$ for it. Its my all time favorite game of all time, the theme, the delivery, the interface.

But tell me, when will game developers realize that they are setting the max level too low? Like badlands, it maxes at 50 and I get to 50 a quarter a way through the second playthough. it's like there's no incentive to keep playing.

sgreger1 unfortunately i think they cap it low to sell a dlc to raise it. i liked fallout but once i hit the lvl 30 i was damn near a god.

+1. Fallout and Oblivion are based on the same engine, if I'm not mistaken. Oblivion is a much longer, bigger game though. So if you're a size queen...
