I was the first guy to get the orriginal COD MW at my barracks and it was an amazing game, mainly due to multiplayer. But I still havn't even bothered with the new one since it's relaly only good for multiplayer and i'm not into that anymore.
If they would release one that has a good, long single player I would buy it, but they seem to be moving the COD thing more towards multiplayer stuff, trying to emulate the Counterstrike fad or something.
If you single player campaign can be beat in 2 days, you fail.Comment

Lol ya I am more a multiplayer guy myself. I've only just started the campaign but so far its pretty good. Your right though the campaign should be longer, why settle for just either quantity or quality when you can have both! But being a multiplayer guy I really like it and it looks like Infinity Ward is actually going to be patching and updating with MW2 unlike the first MW.
But the shortness of single player campaign in shooters is a sad trend these days.Comment

dude mw2 is my current obsession. i cant get enough. the multiplayer is truly the best multiplayer experience youre gonna get on xbox live. the single player mode, while short, was REALLY good. ill probably play through it at least once more, and if you played the first game sgreger, youll appreciate some returning characters. shit really hits the fan.Comment

The US got curb stomped in MW2, though towards the end you can imagine just how things will turn out. I think that's as far as my speculating can go without giving away a ton of the story for single player.
Multiplayer was done well enough for MW2 for the PS3 and 360. There are a few things I'd like changed, but that's mainly map layout for a few due to glitches. The only thing that seriously pissed me off was duel wielding, like with sawed off double barrel shotguns. Wtf. No. Or the riot shield reflecting rounds from a light machine gun. Hell, reflecting rounds from an assault rifle even. I am glad that the stinger missiles are meant for anti-air but the AT-4 is an anti-armor/anti-fortification weapon, not anti-air. To be fair, though, that last one is more nitpicking, and it's a game. While there are some things that make you head desk and want to throw the controller out the window, it does well as a console multiplayer.
For the PC, however, fail. It's playable, I'll admit that, but COD4 still beats MW2 for PC as far as I'm concerned. When they bring back console commands and dedicated servers (which allows a lot of other things as well), then I'll be more interested in MW2 for the PC. Until then, it's too much like they're forcing you to play a PC game as a console game.
