Just got an email from Blizzard (PC game company) "TRY OUT OUR 10 DAY TRIAL on WoW" something.
It's like they gave me heroin and now I want moar :'(
So I'm addicted to World of Warcraft again, been playing for 4 straight hours now, and its 1:29AM

I managed to wean myself off of it but I know as soon as Cataclysm comes out it will start again!

I was so impressed with Operation:Flashpoint that after renting it for only one day I went out and bought it. Really an amazing game, but extremely hard.

I also rented Prince of Persia: The forgotten sands, which was about what I expected. Definately more of a rental than anything. It is fun, has some easy puzzles and some easy fight scenes, an otherwise drab storyline and pretty good graphics. It's too linear though, and I hate linear games.


Anyone know of any good sandbox ganmes that have been out lately?

I'm looking at:

Bad Company
Battlefield (i forget the version, the newest one)

Are either of these good?

I like military games like that one (I think battlefield 1942) where you can drive the vehicles, fly the planes, etc etc. Not linear and where you can use vehicles. Any good games like that?

About that I must say that the campaign was rather interesting but just too short for me. Could have been longer.

Yah maybe that's the one i'm talking about. It looked okay but not sure. I odn't like short games. I like sandbox games or non-linear games I can replay a lot. Like Call of Duty for example was way too linear for me and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too short. Same with Metro 2033. Good to rent fo ra week but no lasting value. I'm not too much of a multiplayer person either so having a robust multiplayer experience is of little value to me, though I do sometimes partake.

A bit of a gamer here, although I don't have a modern console (PS2 is most up to date I have). I play mostly Eve with a sprinkling of Lord of the Rings Online. Used to play some PC single player games but no so much any more.

That defiinitely looks interesting. I have 1 and 2. Have not gotten around to playing 2 yet. Too bust with COD MW2 and Need for speed world which is kind of lame

Looks awesome, i'm glad they are branching out of the dark underwater world (amazing as it was, the opening for the first was amazing, one of, if not the best i have seen in a game). Still seems like it will be a dark game though which i feel is necessary for this series. One of my favorite modern franchises.

Don't know if this is old news or not, just found it myself. Haven't finished it yet, that will happen when i'm done browsing here.

Lol,. if you get 1 DLC, get Dr Knox's vault or whatever its called. Zombie island is too short (though still good) and the underdome is just a multiplayer arena. The newst DLC (Dr. Knoxx's vault) is long and worth the money for sure though, but nothing can take back that ending from the main game lol.


@ Deadhosky: Hey bro, have you gotten the game I sent you yet? It should definitely have been there by now. I sent it certified mail so not sure if there is a tracking number or not. If you havnt received it, I will go down tot he post office and see if they can provide me with a tracking number.
