Definitely. So far the biggest effect i've personally had with DRM was with Spore. I didn't do much research, just saw a trailer and went out and bought. I later found out that it's limited to five installations. Talk about some bullsh*t. If i remember correctly, after all the flak EA received they loosened it up a it, but i believe you still have to contact them if you want to install it that sixth time. So far i'm on my third and it wont let me sign in online so i get no creatures or worlds or vehicles that other players have created.

5 times? That would last like a year with me. I do frequent reinstalls cause I like my computer clean... plus I tend to break stuff a lot... lol

Assassins Creed Revelations is coming out in a few months. Should be interesting.

All very true! If you don't want to upgrade or build your own, all you have to do is find something a little higher than the recommended requirements for the games you like... based on what you've said, you should be able to find something well under a $1000... My previous brand suggestion was only basically if you wanted to play newer or more rigorous stuff (don't forget Skyrim comes out soon!!!!) and have plenty of upgrade room...

Yah I wonder what it will take to play Skyrim with decent graphics! lol. Looks to be amazing. I will probably just get it on Xbox since I liked Oblivion on xbox. Will there be any real advantage to getting th PC version other than the fact that you can use the mouse?

Better than the first one. A bit less repetative, but still repetative to an extent. Better graphics. Same basic controls. Nothing really new or novel but a nice upgrade over the first one with a few new features.

Hey I don't know if anyone else has played it, but I was a big fan of "Toy Soldiers" xbox arcade game when it came out and they just released the newst one "Toy Soldiers: Cold war". (1200 microsoft points).

This game is totally awesome. it's sort of like a tower defense game except you control the turrets/tanks/airplanes etc. It is very addictive and totally worth the $10. Highly recommended for anyone who likes this sort of thing.

I'm playing Oblivion and Fallout 3 at full graphics right now. It's like completely new games to me... lol. Should have gotten this computer earlier.

Yeah, I've almost ruled it out. Don't think my cpu is up for it.

I haven't played Team Fortress in over a year. Was a fun game though.

So I got Deus Ex on a whim not knowing anything about it and it is an amazing game.

Role playing but lots of action, great graphics, great gameplay, decisions make a difference, lots of upgrades to your character. All around great game. It favors stealth over guns-blazing strategies so it's fun mainly for that reason.

Ive heard rumors that Brick and mortar (gaming)stores are trying to Block/blackmail game developers (such as Bethesda) from releasing games on Steam at Launch time . .. may be limited to our UK brothers only.

I can provide some insight into which publishers and games are affected by this below (I'll keep the list updated as time goes on and if anyone else knows any other games affected, PM me or post below) -

- Darksiders (unknown)


Effectively I'm trying to spread the word and knowledge that this is what's going down and this really isn't acceptable. I'd appreciate it (and I'm sure many others would) if you spread the word and hopefully we can see if they (Game UK) are really allowed to do this. It's a slippery slope if this isn't stopped soon or else we may end up with many games eventually not even making it to Steam due to stupid things like this.
