Man since I got my computer I havn't even turned on my xbox. I have never ornwed a computer able to play games on even the recommended graphics settings until now, but now I cna play everything on ultra-high! It's amazing. I have all the newer games, but only played a few levels on BF3 and COD:MW2 since they are too linear. I ben playing a lot of Age of Empire II, Populous, and the other classic RTS from back in the day that my computer would never run.

I started playing Rage this week, it's good but kind of like a less-good version of borderlands. Can't wait for Borderlands 2. Oh and I play skyrim occasionally but I got to like level 41 on my xbox and had to restart so I am taking it real slow now. The funny thing is that I am playing it from the beginning on my computer and have ran into almost none of the quests I did on the xbox, it's such a huge game!

saints row the third - finished main story line. great game. pretty funny stuff, but not for the kids. get the shark gun online content. really cool.

modern warfare 3 - finished single player campaign. smooth controls. nice graphics. good action, but i would have liked to see a bit more variety. some more sniper missions, reworked uav stuff, etc. not really eager to go online and get bullet raped by ten year olds.

a.c. revelations - just getting into this one. i've been really into the series, but it may be getting a little stale for me. so far, this installment hasn't brought anything worthwhile to the series. perhaps someone new to the series may find greater enjoyment.

      *all played on xbox360

Saints Row the Third is AWESOME. Havn't finished it yet but it's so polished and fun to play, if not outright rediculous...

I'll have to check that out! The octapus RPG is pretty cool too lol. The graphics and polish of this game are great though, it honestly plays better than GTA if you ask me. I kind of like how it doesn't take itself seriously either and the almost caricature style gangsters they have as the main characters.

I think I must be the only retro player here.

In what way? i play mad retro games, more often than I play newer ones in fact. Been playing Age of Empires II a lot lately in particular, I love old RTS games.

Last night I got MechWarrior which was my favorite game back in the day. Nostalgia explosion to the face right there.

Was playing Popolous the other day. Such a great game for it's time and still enjoyable today.

I used to build my land as high as the screen would permit, then flood the shit out of the enemy while leaving my guys high and dry. Good times....

I'm on my work PC now... my home PC crashed just before the New Year. Had to scrape the money together, and I'll be skint for a few weeks, but I decided to go big and replace the home PC with one of the new Alienware X51's. It won't arrive for a few weeks, and already I'm champing at the bit. Should be sweet for gaming.

Sorry to hear about your computer, but man you're going to be blazing with that Alienware rig! Nothing feels better than starting every game by going to Options>Display>Graphics>ULTRA HIGH!

HELL Yeah populous! I played http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Populous:_The_Beginning when I was a kid and had a blast at it. Almost forgot about that game.

Mostly playing Eve Online now and some flight sims (IL2, F 4.0, DCS:A10)

Thanks. I don't know about "blazing," since the X51 is aimed at the casual gamer rather than the hardcore crowd, but in looking over the specs, it seemed very likely that it would outperform a general-purpose high-performance PC in the same price range. Not to mention I've dreamed of owning an Alienware rig for years [high coolness factor], and was overjoyed to discover they finally released an affordable product line. Far from cheap, but affordable.
