I play the heck out of games! I'll be home soon in 12 days, and I cannot wait to get back into them. I ordered some PC parts and the parts are at home waiting to be put together. The build was slightly over $2000. Here is the build.

    CPU: Intel Core i7-3930K 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100 92.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV Extreme EATX LGA2011 Motherboard
    Memory: G.Skill Trident 4GB
    Memory: G.Skill Trident 4GB
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Hard Drive: Samsung 830 Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB Video Card
Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue ATX Full Tower Case
Power Supply: COOLER MASTER Silent Pro Gold Series RSC00-80GAD3-US 1200W ATX 12V v2.3
Optical Drive: Sony AD-7280S-0B DVD/CD Writer

I may upgrade to 16 GB ram, and add another GTX 670 video card, but for now it will be plenty! As soon as I get home, I'm going to grab a can of snus from the freezer, grab a redbull from the fridge, wash my hands (before touching PC parts), and get started building. After it's setup, tear open the Diablo III box, and get started! I can't wait. Only 12 days left.

Just a pro tip. The cheapest wireless adapter works the same as the most expensive one.

Yeah i remember a few years ago when i had to pick one up for temporary use and some asshat as Best Buy (U.S. electronic store) tried to tell me that the official microsoft one somehow picked up a wireless signal better......the same guy that tries to sell you the 100 dollar hdmi cables that are the same as the 7 dollar ones on amazon with a different sticker on the front

I can only do fps on console....childhood wrist injury ruined my ability to be accurate with a mouse....I really have been enjoying the shit out of the civilization games as of recently, I can't believe I had never heard of them until recently, It's like playing the board game RISK but instead of taking 12 hours it takes more like 12 days.

I've been playing a lot of Duke Nukem Forever lately. I'm level 41 on multiplayer (cap is 42), and I have 70-some MP challenges left to complete.

Does anyone else here own Duke 4?

I scored a great package deal on Bioshock and Bioshock 2 during Steam's summer sale, and have been playing the heck out of them recently. I'm not really a big fan of FPS-style games -- they always seem to be so one-dimensional -- but I've been enjoying the graphic design. Nothing says elegant squalor like decaying Art Deco. :-)

Despite the plot twists, the storylines are still fairly predictable to anyone who has been fed on a diet of suspense novels/films. But I really like how the writers keep driving home the point that blind faith in any ideology (Capitalism/Objectivism in the first game, Socialism in the second) leads to disaster. Tactically, the most interesting part is in the second game: setting traps for the Splicers prior to letting a Little Sister collect provides some head-scratching challenges.

I likely would have felt a little disappointment had I paid full price for these games, but they made excellent bargain bin choices. Fire up that rivet gun, I'm goin' Splicer huntin'!

Those are two of my all time favorite games, largely for the atmosphere, and art content. I paid extra at release for the deluxe editions, and aside from the DRM, I'm completely happy with the amount I paid :^)
