I can only do fps on console....childhood wrist injury ruined my ability to be accurate with a mouse....I really have been enjoying the shit out of the civilization games as of recently, I can't believe I had never heard of them until recently, It's like playing the board game RISK but instead of taking 12 hours it takes more like 12 days.

Damn that's a shame, yeah the Civilization games are great, still haven't tried the new Civ tho, better get my hands on that one!

I've been playing a lot of Duke Nukem Forever lately. I'm level 41 on multiplayer (cap is 42), and I have 70-some MP challenges left to complete.

Does anyone else here own Duke 4?

Yah i've got it. I only payed the first few levels though it gets too repetitive. I didn't even know there was a multiplayer lol.

You should give it a go sometime, it's pretty fun.

My favorite types are "Capture the Babe" and "Hail to the King". CTB is pretty much the same as CTF (except the flags are babes). HTTK is a "King of the Hill" style game.

Which platform did you get the game for? Windows? Xbox?

I scored a great package deal on Bioshock and Bioshock 2 during Steam's summer sale, and have been playing the heck out of them recently. I'm not really a big fan of FPS-style games -- they always seem to be so one-dimensional -- but I've been enjoying the graphic design. Nothing says elegant squalor like decaying Art Deco. :-)

Those are two of my all time favorite games, largely for the atmosphere, and art content. I paid extra at release for the deluxe editions, and aside from the DRM, I'm completely happy with the amount I paid :^)

I can't wait. I like the quasi American history aspect of the games. Art deco is one of my favorite modern art movements, so Bioshock hit right on, but I also like the steam generation. I'm all about anything old, so being able to walk around an approximation is good exercise for my brain :^)

From what I've read about Infinite, I suspect you may be right. The period of American history they are drawing from is a very interesting one. Looks like they'll be critiquing the doctrine of Manifest Destiny/American Exceptionalism this time around. It also appears to have more of a steampunk theme, which is appealing.

haven't posted here in a bit. played through sleeping dogs. not bad once you get into it. basically a gta clone where you drive on the other side of the street. had some nice features, and some glitches. could use some polish. played darksiders 2 a bit. it's just not my type of game. not really into fantasy rpg. probably wont spend much more time on it.
playing borderlands 2 now. this one really sucks you in. i've spent a whole lot of hours on this one. not much mechanically different from the first, but if you liked that, you'll love this. --stupid part that always makes me laugh: the signs on the porta-potties "dook hut - no fapping"
