    ANOTHER GREAT WEEKEND

so friday night i called a friend to come pick me up from my cousins house...he stops by and has a friend of his in the front seat...we get pulled over because his tail light was out..the georgia state patrol guy and a cop that came out of nowhere i guess being nosey ask my friend"the driver" to step out and when the last time marijuana had been in the car..this same georgia state patrol guy had pulled him over earlier that night on the same street"tennessee street( but further down by the movies)" for pulling out without his headlights(this is what i was told)..so the search my friend and find brass knuckles in his back pocket and say that thats reason to search the vehicle..they ask the front passenger to get out..he steps out and a pill falls on the ground"hydrocodone" he has the prescription papers for it but since he didnt have it in the bottle he was placed in handcuffs...they call k9..the dog finds nothing...they continue searching and find xanax and a small amount of marijuana...i had no knowledge of it nor had it on my persons yet was arrested for possesion of marijuana less than an ounce and narcotics and since i was already out on bond for that "reckless driving" i had to have a family member put their house up for a property bond after spending the weekend in jail...and the passenger that had the pill and prescriptions told the cop that all that was his..but we all get arrested and have court ...so wtf

I guess I just choose my friends more carefully. Or maybe it's because I have too much to lose now to take chances.

Unfortunately that's the law. It sucks, once I had a friend of mine come to work with me and my dad. Well, my dad (being a former pot-head) smelled marijuana on my friend. He still drove him home but drove extra-careful. He asked me later about it and I was like "yeah, i know he had some pot."
My dad then told me (from his extensive experience of run-ins with the law) that indeed had he been pulled over and had the cop found pot on my friend, all of us would get hit with possession, whether or not we knew it was there.
It sucks a big fat one, but when you consider how often people lie about not knowing their friends had pot, all the while expecting to smoke it with them later, it kinda makes sense that the law wouldn't give a crap.
Anyways sounds like you've been getting the shaft lately my friend, hope your luck improves soon!

I was an old leftist anarchist type at Berkeley, so was arrested 13 times, spent many a weekend in jail. Not the funnest, but not the worst experience either.

And what others have sad, maybe a better class of friends is in order.

                  texasmade,

I feel bad for you. The system is ****ed. I see it over and over again, they charge someone like you and but yet at the same time they let other repeat guilty offenders off with a slap on the wrist.
