Debate over. I'll live my life. You live yours.

And folks wonder what's wrong with the world.

I don't like Beck's personality. But I think he is right on many issues.

            I agree with you, Sundog.

Glenn is on right now. If somebody can point out where he's lying (not just making mistakes), I'll listen to them.

He usually uses his opponents' own words and videos to prove his points. Thus far this week nobody has refuted his claims.

Sometimes even the sighted are blind.

Not sure if you've noticed, but every TV opinion show does this exact thing, and the people who follow that show always think they've proven their points and nobody has refuted their claims.

The people watching Keith Olbermann right now truly believe they've got the best of you, just as you truly believe Beck's got the best of them.

I've honestly tried to watch Keith Olbermann, but he is so full of hate that he turns me off. That, plus it seems sometimes somebody else is pulling his strings.

I can't stand any of them. I'm not a big fan of pundits and opinion slingers in the news. I feel that a news network should have only pure, honest fact without alteration (like snipping sound bites or video) and no opinion whatsoever. I shouldn't be able to tell who the person voted for by the end of their broadcast.

Of course, that wouldn't sell. Shock, opinion, speculation, and arguments sell.

Alas, there aren't any pure news outlets. We have to make do with what we have.

One really bad example of news bias is the New York Times. If they can't be trusted, who can? They've been caught lying so many times it's a wonder they can even sell a newspaper (and they are having their share of problems selling newspapers).

From one of Michelle Bachmann's town hall meetings...

                              http://www.rollcall.com/news/38015-1.html

LeRoy Schaffer, a St. Francis city council member, dressed in a tuxedo and top hat for the occasion. Shaffer got visibly emotional asking Bachmann about the future of health care and the role of special interests in Washington. "I'll be danged if I am going to give up my Social Security because of socialism "Schaffer said, before being booed by the crowd.
Oh the irony. Isn't Social Security a form of socialism in itself?

These people bitching about socialism don't have a clue. Add up what you've put into the system versus what you take out. Idiots.

It's more of a Ponzi Scheme than anything else. And robbing Peter to pay Paul will always get you Paul's vote. That's why it's impossible to fix.

If it were voluntary, nobody in his right mind would participate. If a private company set up a similar "retirement" plan, they'd be hauled into court on all kinds of charges.
