I am a big Glen Beck supporter.

Despite the fact that some advertisers like Wal Mart have decided to not advertise on his show, or other political opinion shows, Glen has experienced a huge ratings increase.

He has the 3rd most watched news show in the country, right under Bill Orielly and Hannity. His ratings the last few days of over 3 million per night is more than all of the liberal shows combined.

I would say that someone has to agree with him, right? I love him, he is one of the few who is asking the tough questions and that's what I like to see whether our president is republican or democrat.

Weve had enough of this buddy buddy fluffly news coverage of the president, lets find out about what's really going on.

I'm kind of torn on Glen Beck.

I certainly appreciate that there are those that are looking out for everyone else, but I feel he borders on slightly mentally wacko.

I was listening to him this morning and he said some things that scared me for a few reason:

                1. He mentioned that our belief in God should be what guides us.

                2. He is a sensationalist IMO.

As to #1, religion has ZERO place in politics. Show me a religious politician and I will show you a hypocrite.

If one were to listen to his opinion about faith, God and America its could make one pause a second and ponder the flip side of that thought process....

What makes radical Muslims wrong? Is it just that they don't believe in OUR God? Who is to say who the right god is? Everyone needs to think about fundamentalists of any religion before they jump whole heartedly into following it. They are all about control and following a very strict line.

There have been more people killed in the name of "their" god than for any other reason on this earth. Anyone who stands up and shouts about how their god is the best god and the only right god is about an truthful as a kid standing up in the middle of class and saying his mom is the best mom on earth and if you don't agree with it, **** off and I'll kick your ass.

He brings up some very valid points that get muddled by fringe neo-Christian fanaticism.

                IMO....

Its not new, he's nothing different, just another money making buffoon from the press.

No, he's incredibly smart. He's figured out you can make a ton of money by carrying on like a madman against the system on public radio and TV, that crazy sells, and that the more extreme you are, the more you'll get publicity.

Just like Rush, Olbermann, O'reilly...it's smart.

A man who is scared of being guided by God? Glad you're not my next door neighbor.

Politics and religion? Where do your rights come from? Government? Nature? Yourself? Better hope they don't come from government.

Muslims and Christians have the same God. Radical Muslims have no God. I thought that was simple.

"What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?"

He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

"You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live."
But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"

In reply Jesus said: "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead.

A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.

So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.

But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.

He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him.

The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Look after him,' he said, 'and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.'

"Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?"

The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him."
Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise."

Not everyone differentiates rights and privileges the same way you do.

Radical Muslims do have a God. They just interpret His words differently, as do every branch of Christianity and yes, radical Christians. And then beyond that, there are many more religions than Christianity and Islam.
