    @ VB SNUS

You are correct, I need to calm down lol. Frankly it's not my fault. The company netowrk has been down since 11am so I havn't been able to do any work relaly yet today which = I spend all day spamming snuson lol.

But in all seriouseness both parties are ****ed, they are all about the increasing the power of the party, people n both sides ar ejust their tools.

I have done everything in my power from signing petitions to writing congress etc. Frankly they don't care what I think.

I'm just saying that liberals hated on Bush for 8 years and now that republicans are hating on Obama all of a sudden the dept of homeland security is calling us radicals and the liberals are screaming racism and everything, all while they support a president who is doing more of the same, and just continuing the plots Bush set into motion.

sgreger1, you live on the relaxing coast man. Drive up the PCH. Leave the stressing to us on the east coast, it's what we're best at.

Glenn Beck does journalism in much the same way as Josef Goebbels did journalism.

And I say that as someone who actually *agrees* with a good deal of Beck's stated morals.

I wish I had time nowadays. The only me time I even get "me time" is when I ride my motorcycle down Malibu canyon, but I recently moved up to Santa Cruz which despite it's extreme liberalism does have a nice beach. I live on the east coast and in the south for a few years, definately not a relaxed lol

The reality of it is that Glenn Beck has always been saying much of the same thing but only when Obama got elected did people want to hear his rantings, and for good reason. But he has changed from a conservative to more of a libertarian type because it is a corner of the market which currently was not filled. He does discuss relevant topics and researches his statements quite well in my opinion, but he is also an entertainer.

He is like every political opinion show, fight for your side while making it watcheable and not like a boring Larry King interview. Can't blame him myself, as I would do the same.

You know what I'd like to see...a Libertarian Left and a Libertarian Right party enter the fray. I don't think we need 3 parties, I think we need 4. The "Are you a Democrat or Republican" thread kind of showed that. A lot of Democrats are really Libertarians, we just have more of a left slant than a right one.

Could you imagine America as a four party system? I'd like to see the lobbyists try to keep up.

I'd like to see more plurality in government at all levels. But I consider myself more of a Centrist than a Democrat or Libertarian.

I'm all in with the Libertarians when it comes to civil liberties, but aside from that I think most of their platform is an Ayn Rand-ian pipe dream.

For the last time - Glenn Beck is not a journalist and has never claimed to be one. He's a commentator. Get over it.

At least Fox News acknowledges the difference. The rest (ABC CNN CBS NBC PBS) blur the line between the two.

I was so glad when they cut Keith Olbermann off from anchoring (or whatever it's called) after his comments following the 9/11 video from the RNC. I don't care how much you like the guy, bias that strong should never be uttered by someone at the anchor desk. A pundit, sure, but that? Never.

I personally like glenn beck because his message is not repub or dem, left or right. His mission is to unite the ppl against the US government. Problem is there are people that actually trust the government to wipe their butts and spoon feed them.

Maybe you've stumbled onto something. We should have so many niche parties that the lobbyests won't be able to afford to split up the money 4,5, or even 6 ways.

His slogan is "A fusion betwreen entertainment and enlightenment". He never claims to be a journalist, and neither does Fox, you'r right. It's like people trying to argue that John Stewart is a journalist. None the less, people seem to want to hear his commentary, therefore he is probably not nuts.

He didn't like the use of the 9/11 tragedy in an ad for the RNC, or the people clapping after it was done. I personally thought it was tasteless too, but that's besides the point. Keith Olbermann, at the anchor desk, said he was sorry it had to be shown on the news:

"If at this late date, any television network had, of its own accord, shown that much video tape and that much graphic video tape of 9/11...it, we, would be rightly eviscerated at all quarters, perhaps by the Republican Party itself, for exploiting the memories of the dead, and perhaps even for trying to evoke that pain again. If you reacted to that video tape the way I did, I apologize. It is a subject of great pain, for many of us still, and it was probably not appropriate to be shown."
You want to say that in your commentary show or at the pundit desk, fine. But as the official news person for the event? No way.

See, I can agree with you sometimes. Take a pris with me, komrade.
