Most of the New Age-y religions have some philosophical points I like, Satanism included. But my primary complaint with organized religion remains those people in every religion that feel compelled to make sure you believe the same thing they do, and if you don't, you're somehow inferior. I don't have an issue with most of Christianity (mostly because technically Jesus is supposed to have nullified all the crazy ass laws of the old testament.), but I think Gandhi put it pretty well when he said, "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

Ghandi stole the words from my mouth. I believe in God, but do not like christianity because they just hijacked most of their ideas from the Pagans and re-branded it as "christianity" hundreds of years later, then used it to gain political power and control.

I mean slaying a diety to attone for the sins of mortal man is STRAIGHT out of paganism for God's sake.

Plus, Jesus was a hippie and I hate hippies worse than cartman.

I am Catholic. Yah, yah, yah, there were so many damn Catholics that were ****ing immoral. Satanism is a big ****in' dumb ass "religion". Not in so many words, but someone else stated that satanism can not exist if there were not "good" religions. So I say to you, if you think about being a worshiper of satan than you are admitting that God exists. It is the stupidest thing I have ever heard! If you believe in satan then there must be God and by worshiping satan you will end up on the losing side. Hell, you might as well be an atheist, which at least makes a lot more sense then being a worshiper of satan. I suppose if I was non-religious that an atheistic hedonist would best fit the bill for someone that did not believe in God. I guess, to be on the safe side, I would at least be an agnostic that tried to live my life which would best suit me and reflect the cultural relativism of the times that I am living. Ahh, but this post might only be for humor. Sorry for long post, but the worship of satan is absurd.

Justintempler, Satanism, in basic terms, is Atheistic Anti-Theism. The Church of Satan was created by Anton Lavey to rebel against the ideals Christian-Atheism. He believed Atheistic Christian-sympathy in itself was a contradiction. I, myself, am an Atheist. I never have labeled myself as a Satanist. However, I agree with most of the the ideals of Lavey-Satanism.
