Just a quick shout out to all the Republicans out there and a big fug you for screwing up the whole health care thing by bitching about the public option thing so much they left it out. We had a chance to make a viable system and we just return power back to the same insurance companies that screwed up the health care system to begin with. In case you haven't figured it out yet we all have to pay for health care one war or another. Call it premiums or taxes. Perhaps if we learned to keep our nose out of other peoples arses we could afford health care.

Honestly I don't think the plan was single payer or public option the whole time. They set the bar high to get elected knowing what the end result would be. Plus, the democrats didn't have to listen to the republicans. Blaming them for renewing the patriot act (instead of just letting it expire) or watering down HC reform is no ones fault but the dems, we all knew the reps wouldn't vote for it no matter what they did. Also i'll remind you that the republicans are the ones who championed the idea of a public option, but since the dems want it they oppose it now.
Republicans aren't worth much nowadays, the only thing I really agree with them on is opposing the democrats. The public option wouldn't have been some amazing thing anyways. If we are going to reform the system to catch up with the world, single payer is the only way to do it. This crap that just got passed is an abortion of an idea and will just cost us more in the long run since they cut subsidies for retirement benefits to big employers. Those people will all be back on medicare which will just cost us more in the long run, which is why the subsidies started in the first place, to get people off of expensive medicare.



What makes me angry? The fact that this forum can't seen to find it's roots again and go back to how it used to be.

What else makes me angry? That we are still involved in two wars when we were clearly promised they would be over in 16 months. I personally really hoped Obama would bring home the troops so all my friends still serving their terms could come home and quit wasting their sweat and blood in this fruitless attempt to prove some point in the middle east.

But what really, really grinds my gears is that the LHC successfully performed a 7TeV collision, recreating conditions a billionth of a second after the big bang, and it DIDN'T even make an earth gobbling black hole.

Very dissapointed. Now I printed all these T-shirt sfor nothing :lol:

My bitch today is that I got called for jury duty and did nothing but sit there for hours listening to people's pathetic little excuses of why they can't do jury duty or why they are so biased they couldn't possibly give someone a fair trial. I am going to bring a violin to play next time I need to go.

@GV....hold up there partner. All ya got to do is go there. On the form [any form] they ask you to fill out write out your information and when you are done write out in really big letters "Kill em all and let God sort em out". They won't call you back.

If you've already filled out the form then just ask em for it for a moment. Then write it out and give it back. You won't have to serve jury duty from that day on. If your county has an automated calling system to alert you when to come in that machine won't even call you. lol. Believe me it works like a charm. :wink:
