Birthdays-Forget It

Birthdays are endless

And according to some,

More fuss than they're worth,

keeping count is quite dumb,

There are those who party

and love all the hype,

A big cake with candles,

just great for this type,

Then there are gifts,

and some folks do like loot,

But again, there are others

who don't give a hoot!

To sum it all up

and be cursed as a sap,

I'll just stay the same age,

and forgo all the flap..............

I Now Call You Friend

Once in a while in life's span of time
A happening special- indeed it is sublime
A certain scene, a voice, a song,
A feeling, a knowing, a glimpse of beyond.
When life learned wisdom bestows- "Heart to Heart"
To one from another, revealed now - a part.
Friendship forever, was, is, and will be,
Something far greater than just you and me.
sealed in the thread of our fates- an infinite line,
The good within us unites and lives intertwine!

It doesnt really matter if it sucks LX. as long as you like it and stay true to you! That is really all poetry is! Mine arent that great but I like them!
