Never feel sorry for stating your opinion. However, your argument misses the mark. As you've stated previously, you're worried about losing half your paycheck to finance a universal health plan. Review your check stubs from this year, since Obama took office, and then review the ones you received during the Bush administration. I'm assuming since you're young, you're not making much of anything so Obama's tax cuts on the middle to lower class have likely benefited you. What else, what else...oh yes. What makes you think Obama has an agenda to screw us over? How do you figure? Do you reckon he's doing this for profit, and if so what profit is to be made? Furthermore I wonder why you bring up the overblown idea that Europeans think we're fat, lazy pigs. Certainly not now, with Obama's approval rating in the rest of the world still hovering close to 100%, excluding the eastern-bloc nations such as Poland where he is still well accepted but not with such fervor as in western Europe.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't mean to deviate from the topic at hand and jump on you. I hope you were not offended.

The reason he would be seeing more money in his paycheck is because of the so called Obama stimulus. On average, this stimulus will amount to about $200/$300 per person this year. Under Bush, a stimulus check from $300 to $1200 was provided to everyone when they filed their Federal Income Tax.

The tax cut you are referring to is a ONE YEAR decrease that is suppose to act as a stimulus. Under Bush, you also received a stimulus which was greater than that offered by Obama.

Bottom line: The Obama tax cut you mentioned here is only temporary and is LESS than what was provided to you under the Bush stimulus.

I am not offended and i can see where i was alittle vague on somethings. first off the tax cuts are not helping a lot in fact i think it's over..but it didnt make much of a difference probally made a good 20$ more per check while under bush. I think obama has more of a profit to be made..i think he just hates our country and this new health care is just part of it. congress itself is in it's own little world they decide what they think is best for us.. i don't like that. i am old enough to make my own choices and don't need a government to tell me what i should be doing. i think obama's whole time in office has been shrouded in shadow as we still don't know if he was born here or not, plus theres that money that has gone missing.. like 13 billion or something just disappeared..he is just real shady and i think he has some kind of hidden agenda for power. i've heard stories of thugs he sends out and the old nazi "tell on your neighbor" stuff. but i admit i don't know a lot of whats going on to detail and just go by what is past by word of mouth.. but i got a good memory and try to watch whats up as much as i can. and yeah the rant was about on another form some european talking how all americans we're lazy, fat and stupid...i kind of got a little pissed about that.. just clearing my head.

i hope this clarifies things for you snusophile.

Compared to this, universal healthcare is..well...almost free.

The problem is he wants to continue the wars and have health care. Which means double expensive

October 11, 1987 - Second National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights. The second such march on Washington drew 500,000 gay men and women to protest for equal civil rights and to demand government action in the fight against AIDS.

and comparing their numbers to a gay/lesbian rally their latest teabag rally seems like a dismal failure.

It really disturbs me that Americans and politicians can see the constantly increasing amount of protest and yet think everything is okay. The fact that this many americans have a problem with it should be a giant red flag.

When liberals protested for the wars to end under Bush you all thought you were the underdog silent majority, but now that Obama is in, all of a sudden you support the wars and make fun of the current protestors.

It is sick. What Bushs did was bad, what Obama is doing is jsut a continuation of that bad. There is no difference between the two.

What middle class tax cuts are you refering to. Because I look at my checks from last year and then at my checks now and they are about $200 less per check because my employer provided healthcare is being taxed at a higher rate now. Not saying this is Obama's fault but I, middle class, making 40k a year, got NO tax cut.

At least when Bush blatantly wasted all of our money I got a 600$ check in the mail, and some pay while I was in the military. All the money Obama has thrown to the wind has only benifited the banks and big corporations.

Why does everyone here like to say that UHC works in europe so why not have it here? That's as retarded as saying that western life works here, so why not bring it to the middle east? It's two different things.

Our government and legal system would run amok if we let them touch our healthcare. Our government is to incompetent to do most of the things it is currently tasked with.

I would not trust the FEDS with a ham sandwich, let alone providing me healthcare.

[color=darkred]at least you know that the FEDS will inspect that ham sandwich to make sure that the bread was made cheap in some factory and the ham was processed enough to make sure that it couldnt be called ham anymore but "ham derivative", and then to add to it will sell it back to you at an inflated price.
