I've thought about this often. I notice that children tend to trust everyone and lose trust when warranted over time. As we grow into bitter adults, we tend to distrust everyone and possibly gain trust with some people.

I think you hit it right on the head. When I hit my thirties, I vowed not to be bitter and cynical. Made a concrete decision not to live my life that way. Even with the disappointments, the successes more than prove that was a wise choice.

Yeah it is. They did find the wallet minus the $40 in cash, but all cards were in it. They'll still have them all reissued though of course. No word on the car yet, and his doc and pharmacy have let him get his meds refilled even though they just refilled them a couple of days ago, so that's good.
