Never liked wine. To me, it tastes like exactly what it is: rotten grapes. :P
I don't mind champagne every great once in a while. One thing I can tell you, though.......it does not mix with beer very well at all. I did that years ago, and I never blew chunks so violently in my life.
My favorite red is Malbec. I also really like Merlot and Sangiovese. I don't drink enough to have a favorite vinyard, I usually buy a bottle based on the reviews they have at the store, and one's that have won awards.
I don't drink too much white wine, but I like a good Riesling once in a while. I also like Prairie Fume', which is made just down the road from me.
A great white is Pouilly Fume - similar to a Chablis but much better for the same price. Very highly recommended.
We have a house in France so the wine is dirt cheap and I've drunk loooads of the stuff. I spend most of my time over there in a haze of cheese wine and coffee. I must admit though, I don't drink the stuff in England preferring a Carlsberg instead but when I'm on the continent wine just goes with the atmosphere.
Red wine especially the Australian and NZ wines are just way to heavy.
Do your politics line up with your drink of choice? To answer this question we looked to GFK MRI survey data to profile over 50 major brands of wine...
I got me a bottle of Barefoot Pinot Noir (it was on sell at Target, I know it's a cheap wine anyway!) and was wondering if you guys have any recommendations...
