Here's my baby and its guardian. It is a heavily modified Harley Davidson XL1200 Custom.

Custom paint job, Custom Bobtail rear fender, Lots of chrome add-ons, Nallin Racing engine, Thunderstorm heads, Forged pistons, crank,etc etc, Andrews N6 cams, Vance and Hines StraightShots custom exhaust(Loud!), Mikuni Carb, Screamin' Eagle intake, Screamin' Eagle Ignition Mod, Ape Hangers(18 inches of total rise), Chrome Flamed grips, Flamed shifter, Flamed footpegs, Chrome and Gold Flamed engine covers, Chrome Flamed license plate cover, Sundowner Seat, Security System. All stage two, some stage three. 95 Horses and ridiculously faaasssssttt!! It is #35 out of a total of 100 in existence WORLDWIDE.

These photos are about a little old though(taken in 2009, the cameras timestamp was waaaay off), these were taken before I put on the Ape Hangers, new seat, grips, pegs etc etc and a bunch of other stuff.

I just sold my 05 Suzuki SV650. I got real sad on Sunday for the weather was nice and no one on the roads. I miss it already :{(

I don't believe I've ever even heard of a Hyosung GV250. Where is that made?

Hyosung is Korean.

For 20+ years, they were an off shore engine builder for Suzuki. About 10 years ago, they went to Suzuki and said they were breaking off, they wanted to become Korea's 2nd bike maker. But they are engine specialists still.

The GV250 puts out 28 HP, almost double what any Japaneses 250 does. The GV650 puts out 74 HP, best bang for your buck you can buy.

Fit and finish are now very, very close to the Japanese. Their issues are, they have now been bought, parent company doesn't know a thing about running a bike company, they really don't respond well at the consumer angle. And parts can take longer to get than they should.

But the bike itself, the most amazing bike I have ever owned, and she is my 5th bike. More "soul" than anything I have ever ridden. Light, so maneuverable, and still enough power I can cruise at 85 mph for 15 hours straight, and still havfe something left if I need.

Sweet looking bike, sage. I used to ride, when I was younger. Got in an accident, thrown from the bike, hit a tree, haven't touched one since. Been thinking about getting back on the horse.

Chad, a week before I found Snuson, I was in a bad accident. Coming home, 15 minute ride from work, a half block from my house. Slowing to make a nasty right, so maybe 15 mph. Guy who had been riding behind for a mile just zoned out, didn't see me. He realized he was about to hit me 3 feet from impact according to the skid marks the cops said.

He was estimated by them to be doing at least 50 mph when he ran into me. Launched me higher than the power lines, and I landed about 35 feet from the point of impact.

But I was wearing my gear. Landed on my shoulder, but armored jacket prevented it from breaking. Then slammed my head against the pavement, but wearing helmet, still knocked out for about 10 minutes. Got taken to the hospital on a body board, but other than bad concussion and deeply bruised shoulder, I was fine.

Had to wait 6 months to heal, doctor and chiropractor visits to end, bills be gathered, etc. before I collected the insurance money for my injuries. Used half that to buy Baby. Couldn't keep me off a bike even with all that. Yeah, I think about it occasionally, still tense up when I make a right turn. But riding gives me so much pleasure. honestly, the only time I have been truly happy after my divorce, at least until these past few weeks.

Don't let something like that stop you. learn from it, always wear good gear. But if you want to ride again, go ride!!

I bought a house after my divorce, I kinda poured alot of money into that.

But lately as I've been catching up I've been wanting one. At least for work, as I work 30 miles from home and I could def save on the gas mileage.

Not into rockets, def cruisers. I'll probably have a "bike suggestion" thread up before too long. It's been about 9 years, it was before I got a car license - when I was only old enough to get a motorcycle license, I figured I'm good now, and I've learned more about the road/response/etc.

Heck No! I ride every chance I get and snus is a wonderful addition.
I tend to double-portion now on longer rides.

In addition to riding I do all my own work as I enjoy the time in the
garage tinkering away. My main ride is a Kawasaki dual sport ..
a '89KLR650 which needed a complete engine teardown when I got it.
I also have a '91 KLR650 parts bike and a '06 crashed KLR650. I'll be
combining those to make one and plan to make it more of a street ride
and set up my '89 for more off-road.

Living in New Mexico the dual sport is the perfect ride as the fire roads in
the mountains are extensive.

I also have a '76 Honda CB500T (twin), the final version of the CB450 twin,
that I rescued from dis-use. I've rebuilt most of it but need to do the top end. Getting parts is a bear on this one.

Both bikes get over 55mpg which is nice now and will be crucial in the near future.

I will take some pics and post them soon.

This are great bikes, you should be missing it! I never bought new but if
I was I would buy it's cousin the DL650. (V-Strom) Love the engineering
on this bike. Plenty of power and very quick handling.

Triumph Speedmaster -06, Been riding since-76, mostly on Triumph, my first bike was a Triumph Tiger 500 -53 (modified)

for the money the sv was awesome. Easy to ride (the first bike I bought not rode), sexy as hell, and lots of torque for a 650. I really dig the cafe racer style with the vtwin. That bike got respect from crotch rocket riders and cruisers alike. The sound of the vtwin was truly badass. One day I will buy another bike, just not while living in Mobile. Very hot, and very unsafe for motorcycles. We have a lot of crazy, bad, fast, un-insured drivers in cars and trucks down here. I guess anywhere does, but Mobile is especially crazy place on the roads.
