Now hers a funny thing, if a Native american wears clothing that speaks of his "Native Pride" thats fine, If an African american wears clothing to represent his/her "Black" pride, its cool. Both parties are considered brave!

Now if a "White" person struts with a hat that proclaims "White Pride" its AWFUL! How dare they! What does the other side of the coin look like? If you say anything about the "Bravery" Of the Native American or the African American it is nothing more than being Racist!

It's a lot different. I don't think too many white people see the swastika as a source of pride for them.

By the way, reverse racism is the phoniest outrage I can think of. Even if you believe we're all equal under the law now, it's not as if we've all had even close to them same background. Black people and Indians were shit on for centuries in this country. It's a lot easier to say "that's all behind us now" when it didn't personally affect you. So yes, I would argue that it's a lot different when black people and Indians show their ethnic pride than when white people drape themselves in swastikas or the confederate flag. (I still don't even think it's comparable, but whatever.) In this country, they were the oppressed, not the oppressors. Don't pretend we all got to this point in history on the same road, and that white pride is exactly the same as black pride. In America, it's a bit more complicated than that.

Perhaps that person or person(s) can map out in their family tree but they were not slaves. Are we still stealing Native americans land? Are we still killing their tribes?? My family is mostly Jewish/ukrainian with a bit of scottish thrown in there. I understand the Native americans and the genocide of their people, and the forced labour of African americans. I truly can sympathize. Now i have no issues. It didn't happen in my generation, its not my hate! Sure my great grandmother can show you here tattoo from the concentration camp and tell you f'd up stories of shit she seen. Its not my hate.

America is mostly immigrants. Most Immigrated not because they really wanted too, but felt they had to escape from their rulers, their f'd up situations. In their countries they were oppressed not the oppressors.

And i can tell you, alot of these people where.... WHITE. So due to my heritage i can wear a white pride t-shirt... right.

Ugh So listen due to problems getting on yesterday I never was quite able to respond to any of this. Nobody sayed she didnt have the "right" to wear the shirt. The thing I found amusing about it was how inappropriate it was to wear that in public. Its as inappropriate to me as someone wearing any "hate" group shirt. They have a right to wear it, im just gonna laugh at them when they do.
