    it's your choice basically ...

there have been conducted many studies and show that nicotine is an addictive substance but not as harmful as "caffeine" for example...

I DO plan to quit sometime.... all nicotine forms... but now really any time soon..... and it's not the health issue ... but the money issue..... 200 or 300 bucks a month can be spent more wisely...

"Does anyone plan on quitting snus?"

I just quit, right now. Made a video on it, where I threw my stash away (sorry, guess someone else could have had use for it) in the toilet.
I have 3 Thunder mini+ Frosted left and they are going in my mouth right now, then bye bye nicotine.
damn it, you could have made a contest here or something

Oh yeah, there are a lot.

For example, Ingvar Kamprad is 84 years old and has been snusing for 60 years, General Loose I think.

I will quit someday I think. I love nicotine, but I would like to be a health freak for some period of my life. Like, no nicotine, no caffeine, no alcohol... just green tea and insanely healthy food. Would love to see what that would be like (pretty boring I would guess).

Although, when I quit for 2 months last time, I felt wonderful at times. Very calm, harmonic... BUT, I had major mood swings, irritability, worry, and got a very laid back, boring personality. Also I ate all the time, If I would have gone longer than 2 months I would have gotten fat like a pig.

      God bless snus!

Here in Norway, one can is about 10$ maybe 7-8$ for portion snus. That is just too much money contra what I make per. month.
I just can't afford the habbit anymore.
Besides I feel lethargic, lazy, depressed, ect when I use snus. I just have to quit.

I probably won't, unless the price goes up more, up to the point where I can't afford it

Green tea contains caffeine. half the amount of black tea, but it's there all the same. Just saying, for if you ever decide to do the healthy thing

I have quit as of Dec 22, but not because of any of the possible reasons being discussed, here. I quit because of the displeasure of my wife, plain and simple.

Funny that this should come up on Valentine's Day.

I have quit snus, but I guess I haven't beaten the tobak, as I have a dip in now. I want to quit though, for oral health, as well as just not to feel a "need" for something. One big reason I quit snus is after a long while with it(I think), it was never comfortable on my upper teeth/gums.

Hahaha, yeah I know, I know... I thought of editing my post after I posted it, but I figured what the heck! Black tea contains half the caffeine content of a cup of coffee (around 80 mg compared to 150~ in a cup of coffee). So the caffeine content of some cups of green tea I could live with since the green tea is so healthy for you.

sorry Ratcheer. I've given up many things for the same reason...it's just easier that way sometimes. But snus? That must be one hell of a woman to be filling your mouth with all her womanly parts so you don't have to snus.

In this regard I'll stop the snus as soon as my better half stops spending more than twice the amount on hair, nails, shoes, makeup and other shit like dresses that will only be worn ONCE. once. I spend money on nothing else. I can't cut another thing from my personal budget except for Metamucil but then I'll really be full of shit. Oh yeah, and her friggin' vitamins and "alternative (natural?) supplements". WTF? Just eat more veggies n' stuff.

I have tapered down usage in half and held steady for a pretty long time now. Health reasons would make me quit in a heartbeat but for now I just might slowly keep cutting usage and see if my body keeps adjusting.
Being possibly just a weekend or only with alcohol type snusser might be the eventual goal.

Maybe if I ever become a full time snuffer but not in the foreseeable future.

I will not quit nicotine any time soon.

That's my stance. Even if I "quit", it would likely just be reversing the roles of snuff and snus. Snus once or twice a day, and mostly snuff, but I honestly don't see that happening. I enjoy tobacco, and nicotine, and the 2 I use primarily are virtually harmless. I probably do more damage to myself with my beloved Spam, so I can live with the mild risks of snus and snuff.
