    Comic Book Movies

I'd like to hear everyone's take on this. This can be old or new.

    Fantastic Four - liked.
    Spider-Man - liked.
    X-Men - liked.
    Daredevil - not so much.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine - LOVED. Great.
Batman and Batman Returns (80's/90's) - Great.
Batman Forever and Batman&Robin - Epitome of gay.
Batman Begins&Dark Knight - Great approach.
Superman Returns - I actually liked it.
    80's Flash Gorden - F'ing CLASSIC.

I'm a comic nerd, but suprisingly like alot of the movies.

    Most looked forward to?

    Green Lantern
    Captain America
    Nick Fury/Avengers
    X-Men Origins Magneto

I look at comic book adaptations like so: If they weren't based on comic books, they'd mostly be good.

A lot of the movies I've seen were shitty only because I knew how the comics went. If you take away the knowledge of knowing what they are based on, they aren't bad movies.

I have liked the X-men movies for the most part so far. Iron Man wasn't half bad either.

EDIT: They're making a new Cap'n America movie? Sweet. He wasn't the most powerful guy in comics, but the man had style.

      Fantastic Four - meh
      Spider-Man - Awesome
      X-Men - Decent
      Daredevil - No
Ghost Rider - Not a chance
      Iron Man - Rewatchable
      Agree on all Batmans

      Also Watchmen - LOVED.

I'm definitely looking forward to the same ones you are, especially Captain America. I'd love to see an epic Red Skull battle on the big screen.

The only confirmed actor is Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson), but rumors persist that Matthew Mccannaughey (spelling?) is going to play the Cap.

I had the misfortune of watching Spawn recently.

I'm sure there are some others missing.

The Punisher, all of the Incredible Hulks, All of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Elektra...

Dick Tracey, The Shadow, Sin City, Hellboy, The Crow, Tank Girl...

He was in the end of Iron Man as Nick Fury, and had a cameo in the new Hulk as Nick Fury too.

Oh you didn't like Spawn? John Legiuzamo owned that clown role, haha. It was good for it's time

The old Punisher was good, the new one kinda sucked.

And I totally forgot Dick Tracy, that was a good movie, and Hellboy ROCKED.

And lest we forget - Howard the Duck.

One of my all time favorite movies (as if you couldn't tell from my icon).

I've heard there is a Deadpool movie in the works, which I think could be totally bad ass if they do it right. As long as they don't make him anything like the abomination they put together for the Wolverine movie.

Also really looking forward to the Ironman sequel.

Yeah Ryan Reynolds is rumored to be in it.

And he's supposed to be starring in Green Lantern.

I think he did great job as the Deadpool character up until they turned him into "Weapon X" His comedic delivery really fits the roll.

I hadn't heard about the Green Lantern part though - should be interesting to see how that pans out. I never did follow the comics for GL but I'm finding that can be a good thing. I almost enjoy the comic movies more when I don't have much background knowledge to nit-pick about. I think this is one of the reasons I didn't enjoy the X-men movies more than I did.

"During his appearance at 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon', the star of 'The Proposal' also confirms that he will reprise his Deadpool role from 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' in the character's solo movie.

The filming of "Green Lantern" could be kicked off in about four or five months, so claimed Ryan Reynolds. When paying a visit to "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" recently, the leading man of "The Proposal" told host Jimmy Fallon about the possibility. "I'm 4-5 months away from beginning shooting," so he claimed."

I'm a comic book fan going way back to age three or so, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Captain America, and The Thing. I have never been able to get truly into the movies because no matter the technology it always seems fake to have a real person as a character. My solution is to use cgi as the medium, like beowulf, and everything will flow visually, you can do more without having to cut stuff, and if an actor dies his voice can be replaced. I'm thinking Will Smith as Luke Cage eventually and i dont think anyone should carry Cap's sheild... It just seems wrong to me.

Yeah he was a really good choice, he could have had more lines. I really like the Deadpool comics. He and logan are my two favorites, but whose idea was the ending, i mean really? Anyway, Weapon 11 was Wolverine's son Dagon, or was it thirteen. Anyway the had a good three years of storyline they could have used.
