    Favorite coffee

So I know a lot of you like coffee with your snus. I was wondering what your favorite brew is. Personally, I like Starbucks' Pike Place Roast and anything from The Roasterie's Dark line.

PS Check out The Roasterie if you've never heard of them. I learned of them when I lived in the KC area. High quality air roasted coffee.

Here in Raleigh, we have two of the finest coffee roasters I have ever had the pleasure of sampling.....Larry's Beans and Counter Culture.

I strongly prefer African coffees. Ethiopian, Kenya, Rwanda

I'm stuck on my Senseo right now but the coffees aren't that great. The best was some 100% Kona that we picked up straight from the farm on our honeymoon.

I'll have to try those when I get back in the area, Sage. There aren't any good roasters around OKC that I know of. 'Tis OK though, I can order from The Roasterie online.

          Jamaican Blue Mountain...the real stuff.

Next comes Kona, most brands will do me fine.

Starbucks makes good coffee, don't care what anyone says. But usually I'll get a Cafe Americano from there as espresso is so much better.

Their new VIA instant coffee ROCKS by the way.

Starbucks Americano drinker here too...usually iced though! I tried the VIA during their taste test weekend, and it was VERY close in taste to their Pike's Place brewed. I got a thing for a free 3-pack of it, but I'm waiting till November when it comes out in a decaf.

Intelligentsia. It's sort of a Chicago thing, and they only have about 4 or 5 stores nationwide, 3 of which are in Chicago. However, they make THE BEST coffee I have EVER had, served at half the price of Starbucks, in a real cup and saucer and made by a career barista. While a little pricy, I always buy a bag of their beans when I'm there, which were usually roasted the day before hitting the shelf. Every blend is only sold in season, and every blend is direct trade. No middle men, no screwing over the farmers.

Folgers or Maxwell house half decaf. The more exotic/expensive coffees just don't do anything for me. I'm more into tea.

When it comes to coffee, I'm a single point of origin kinda guy. My particular favorite is Tanzanian peaberry. I usually order it from Larry's Beans when they have it in. I used to frequent a coffee shop called Hyphen when I lived in NC and bought it there all the time. After moving I started ordering from their supplier (Larry's Beans) directly. They're well worth it.

                          1st - maui mokka
2nd - blue mountain (wallenford estate)
                          3rd - maui-grown red cataui

2 of those you non-maui residents will never see without coming to maui
