Good God snuson, star trek is winning?? Had to tip the scales. I hate the 1999 redux crap they show on TV though. The 30-year-old badass effects are half the reason to watch.

The latest Star Trek film was great and the guy playing the young Spok was uncannily like Leonard Nimoy.

I quite liked the last Indiana Jones film too, not a lot, but I liked it.
From what I heard the Ewoks were originally supposed to be Wookies. The empire forced the Wookies into slavery to build the death star. But, the Wookies seemed a little too scary for younger audiences and were miniaturized. It would make more sense that the Wookies could help fight off the empire and would tie in with the attack on the Wookies in Episode III. Also, it would explain why Chewbacca seems to be expert mechanic.

Oh, and if you liked the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull then your opinion is irrelevant.
Dude, it wasn't that bad. Ok so IJ meets X-files. All of the IJ were far fetched. That's whats makes them great. I really don't understand all of the hate for Kingdom. No it wasn't as good as the other three, but it was still good.

I do not watch or own the updated versions. Star Wars will always be the original, VHS version it always has been. That is what my children will watch. Not this special effects extravaganza they have made it into.

Ehh, not all that hard, really; the way I see it, they are pretty much equal. It's all about different styles. Kirk acted brashly on seasoned instinct and with highly unconventional methods, while Picard formulated logical plans and carried them out with deft precision.......either way, they got the job done. 8)

i think it was actually ncc1701-D on TNG. correct me if im wrong.

and cmon dude the new indy was retarded. that fridge flew like 10 miles and crashed into the ground and indy just stumbles out and brushes himself off. that point took the regular far fetched indy WAY too far. i mean, cmon.\

                  cmon dudes.

and when the crystal skull was first revealed, i couldnt stop laughing at how stupid it looked.

i hate that movie, almost as much as transformers or twilight. i saw all of them against my will with different family members. i probably ruined many a movie experience for others bitching the entire time.

Transformers was either love or hate. It seems die hard fans were split. I'm a die hard fan from the 80's transformers, and I loved the new movies - mainly because I loved seeing Transformers on the big screen. I thought both movies were great. And I think it's cool to see them return to the modern era.

I thought the two Transformers were Ok, certainly didn't hate them like I hated Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. My son loves them all. Transformers, all the Indiana Jones', all of the Star Wars etc. I liked the Star Wars prequels myself. They were nothing compared to the originals but I just loved all the new things we learned about the Star Wars Universe. Seeing the Jedi Academy and real Jedi's and Yoda fighting etc. was so awesome for me. I hated Jar Jar but my son likes him and Anakin was annoying but all Skywalkers are whiney and cocky. Also, Lucas is just horrible with dialog and with all the CGI sets you can't really blame the actors, but Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, Christopher Lee, and Ian McDiarmid were all great. As far as Star Trek, those movies and series do not age well. I liked them each when they came out but they just seem so stupid to me when I go back and watch them. I flipped past a episode of the Next Generation on G4 and just seemed like it was so old. Star Wars ages very well, like I watched Blade Runner recently and that movie looks like it could have come out yesterday.

One that's funny to watch is Total Recall. The end scene will make you cringe. But in 1990 it was like WHOA...this is so realistic! Some movies age well (like Star Wars...Blade Runner...Robocop....alot of early scifi, even the original Alien series)....but some don't.

                          STAR TREK LIVES

Star Wars tanked with the prequels, especially when Vader was exposed as a pansy and made into a serial killer, only to show up with Yoda and Obi-Wan in Jedi "heaven."

The Jedis were shown to be as contemptible as the Empire, and I just wished, by the end of the 6th film, they would all die.

Star Trek the Original Series is terrific: Sexy and irreverent, with drinking and fist-fights, it blows away the PC sequel shows that came after it. Give me Kirk, Spock and McCoy.

Well, give me 7 of 9 and T'Pol as well. Just make sure Kirk's out of the room...

                                Jedis

The Jedi never could quite figure out Anakin's weakness despite their endless conversations about it.

And in marginalizing him, and by being bureaucratic "wait and see" butts-in-seats, they essentially just allowed the whole Republic to crumble and Vader to be created.
