Lost In Space was better than both.

But it's hard to say, as Star Trek was a great TV show I grew up on, and I liked the movies, but really only the ones with the original cast.

I only liked the 1st 3 Star Wars movies, the real 3, not by episode.

Sometime in-between the 4th or 5th Star Wars movie I just kinda lost all interest in it. I dont know why but the "magic" if you want to call it that just died. Never have looked back since.
As a yound kid I use to compete with another with who had the biggest collection of figures and ships. It actually became such a big addiction that we started to shop lift the stuff.

Star Trek pretty much these days. Lucas has just gone too bat-shit insane for me. I liked Revenge of the Sith, but the other 2 sucked and sucked hard. I'm so glad I have the originals untouched on DVD. that's the only movies I need.
My favorite Trek movie is First Contact followed closely by Wrath of Kahn.
There's just something about Picard, Data, Riker, and Worf that I love to watch.

god dammit chad. generations?! have you seen wrath of khan!? search fr spock!? THE VOYAGE HOME!? NUCLEAR WESSELS. i love trek these days man. star wars has gone from from king shit of sci fi mountain, to just shit mountain. star trek the original series, tng, ds9, all awesome. granted voyager and the scott bakula one both sucked. but not as much as revenge of the sith. UGH.

and jedi is way better than empire!

I would have to agree that return of the jedi was a lot better that empire strikes back.

Also agree that the new installments of Star wars are plain garbage. has anyone seen the movie fan boys? quite funny and on subject.

Star Trek to the end. I like Star Wars as well, but the prequels really ruined it.

Anakin Skywalker (both the young and grown-up versions) and Jar Jar Binks just made me want to find George Lucas and punch him in the throat.

I like both, though both franchises have kinda sucked in recent years. I liked Revenge of the Sith, but the other two sequels sucked out loud. ST: Enterprise was right there with them, hoovering away. The Star Trek reboot by JJ Abrams was pretty good, though.

For me it's hard to pick between the two. As someone else said, they do seem like two different genres. But if that's the case, which genre does BSG fall in? Cause I really like BSG, too. I think I'm just a Sci-Fi nerd. Never really go into Stargate, but the movie was pretty cool.

When the first, that is, first released ("A New Hope") Star Wars came out, I was over the moon. I was just the right age and it was the awesomest thing evereverever. At that time, and for many years after, I would have said Star Wars was the best.

But it slipped a little for me with every release, and with Phantom Menace it jumped the shark in my heart. (Don't even get me started on Jar Jar.) When I came out of the theater that day, something in me had died :O(

I grew up watching Star Trek TOS reruns, and no matter what they do to the franchise, Star Trek remains special to me. I still like Star Wars, too, but for me, I have to go with Trek.

I was one of the first in Canada to see phantom menace. It did run me around $100 to get in. Only a true nerd would pay that. I froze my anus off out side for 2 days. I was so pissed. After that i watched the last two installments from a streaming website. No ****ing was Lucas was gonna get anymore money from me.

The one southpark episode, focused on the new indiana jones movie (which also another that Lucas destroyed) did install a little bit of justice.

A part of me did die. Atleast i can find my self in the original trilogy.

                        Oh, man. That rots. Extremely.

Missed that one. As a matter of fact, I managed to miss all but the first Indiana Jones flick. I just somehow smelled them milking the cow after the first one.

*sigh* I had such high hopes... I hate to be harsh on Lucas, who gave us Star Wars and so much wonderful stuff, but... I think he screwed the pooch with Anakin and Jar Jar and the whole stupid f&$%^*& midichlorians thing.

                            Star Wars. Duh.

But yeah, the prequels sucked. The only thing good about them was Jango Fett... what a tasty morsel of manmeat.

****, even jango fett sucks hard. i say that because it completely altered the canon of boba fetts history from the bounty hunter wars books, which was way more awesome.
