Norway has outrageous taxes as well. A friend of mine said a single beer at the bar was about $15USD!
A friend of mine mine went there also. He commented on how everyone was trim, not many fat people. I said it was because they couldn't afford to eat :^D
Where are you thinking about going? I like Ireland for the weather, people, and music; and Switzerland for the topography.
Well, we have talked a lot about Sweden. It's far from perfect there either but it's still a lot better than Denmark, that's for sure. Another option could be Germany (where my wife is from). Both of us would prefer something in the neighborhood so to speak - we both have a lot family that we would like to stay in touch with.
But we are open minded ... who knows, maybe we will pop up a tent in your backyard.

You're more than welcome any time :^)
I like the idea Of Germany. That's where most of my ancestors are from, and there's still family over there, though I doubt they know who I am :^D
German cities take 4 of the top 20 places in the world to live. Curiously Copenhagen made the list also at #11. Stockholm was #20. The USA doesn't make the list until #38 if memory serves. It was Honolulu or San Francisco at 38 and 39 if I remember right.
Interesting list. I'm actually surprised that not even a single US city made it. Canada on the other hand is quite well represented. Maybe we should go there ... no wait ... then I'd probably have to quit the snus. Can't have that.
Yeah, Germany would be cool. We've talked about Lübeck. It seems just about the right size for us. We'll see what happens. In any case, we're so done with Copenhagen!
I have to state that everything stated about Denmark sucks is completely true. Denmark is amongst the worst countries on earth. They keep lying about how great the county it. I went to study in Denmark, and i was greeted by energized yet slightly arrogant danes who claimed to have the best healthcare in the world. Well guess what. When i went to one of their hospitals, i had to wait 4 weeks, and when i finally came into the hospital, it was dirty and disgusting! Denmark seems to have some of the most dirty hospitals in europe.
Every nation/country has its own issues, but apparently there's a lot of people on that thread that enjoyed living Denmark.
And you know what? I did too. Only visited Denmark...
It's very similar to Norway. The living standards are very high, the salaries are pretty high too...
Well an apple TV is slightly more expensive only because the average salary in Denmark is much higher than in the U.S.
Denmark has one of the highest standards of living in the world with an average income of US$ 38,600 per capita (2005). That's slightly better than in the U.S.
Isn't the grass always greener on the other side of the fence?
Being a member of the EU, he has EU citizenship that entitles him to work and live in any of the member states. If the OP on city-data hates Denmark so much, he is free to leave.
Mmm sounds fun. I saw denmark it seemed ok everything costs about 3 times as much including food and soda. They've got legoland though so that's a plus. Norway was probably four times as much as an idea a pack of marlboro lights is 15 dollars or more relevant I think snus 10 dollars a can, and hard liquor is something insane like over 50 bucks although that doesn't seem to slow people down, when I was at the airport I saw just case after case of liquor probably tens of thousands, gas was also 10 dollars a gallon or so.
:?: My best friend's family, with whom I'm living, has a friend that lives in Denmark. Her name is Tina and she was a foreign exchange student that stayed...
