Ok I'm seriously having trouble with setting up an avatar. How in the world did you guys get your pictures down to 8KB? I've been working on it for about 2 weeks now and I still haven't made any headway. Thank you for your help.

Irfanview is not only freeware but also really the best program for that task IMHO.

After you have resized the picture you only have to adjust the jpeg-Quality-setting.
